In her interview to Careers360, Anshika shares her experience at Bennett University. What was it like to be a part of the university? How did she choose the BBA course at this university? Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested in, or did you switch?
Anshika: I am a Business Associate at KPMG. My work is related to Research and Benchmarking. Yes, I pursued the same field in which I was interested i.e., marketing and research.
Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?
Anshika: It hasn't been that long since I have started working but so far, I am enjoying my job and understanding my career goals. Post my graduation in BBA, I opted for doing MBA from IBS, Hyderabad.

Careers360: Is the Industry work different from what you learnt at Bennett University?
Anshika: It’s a little different since this job requires me to use a lot of tools like power BI, Advance Excel which are though introduced at university level but not with an in-depth understanding. Thus, in the big Corp world one needs to be updated with the techniques and software’s.
Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?
Anshika: My time in college made me a more confident and a bolder person. I do not hesitate in asking questions at my workplace. Personally, college taught me the art of time management. It nurtured me holistically.
Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined Bennett University?
Anshika: Initially, I was a little worried because it was a new university, and we were the founding batch. But it turned out great with extremely supportive faculty and a backing by the Times Group.

Careers360: You must have spent a memorable time at BU. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.
Anshika: Yes. I miss being a part of it. College for me was my happy place, my safety guard. Getting to stay with friends in the hostel, celebrating festivities together, attending college events, preparing for exams at the last moment, are a few of the good memories.
Careers360: Briefly take us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do and your routine life.
Anshika: I would attend classes in the morning and pursue my extracurricular activities like painting, dancing in the evening. I used to have my lunch and dinner with my friends in the cafeteria and we would discuss our day.
Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?
Anshika: There are many clubs and societies. They play a vital role in holistic development and extracurricular involvement which is equally important as academics. I was the secretary of the art club of the university (silhouette) which offered me numerous opportunities to display my talent.
Careers360: How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements and what was the role of the institute in it?
Anshika: I used to work on my LinkedIn profile and read up what industry experts discuss or share on their LinkedIn. Institute gave us tips on how to keep our LinkedIn profile updated and how to acquire additional skills through it.
Careers360: You are a proud alumnus of BU. What is the best part of the Institute from a student's perspective?
Anshika: The experience of staying away from family and doing everything on your own. It prepares us for the big and brighter future and no longer keeps us dependent.
