KIET Hosts Meritorious Students Awards 2025: Recognising Academic Brilliance and Inspiring Young Minds

KIET Group of Institutions is a private co-educational institution established in the year 1998. KIET Ghaziabad is accredited by the NBA and NAAC with a grade A+. KIET Group of Institutions, in association with URJAA – Global Principals Association, successfully hosted the Meritorious Students Awards 2025, a grand celebration dedicated to honouring the academic achievements of Class XII appearing and pass-out students from across India who secured 85% and above in their board examinations.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting in the gracious presence of dignitaries including Dr Manoj Goel (Joint Director, KIET), Dr Adesh Pandey (Director Academics - KIET), Dr Abhinav Juneja (Director Corporate Relations & Placement Centre – KIET), Dr Harsh Khatter (Dean CSIT), Puneet Goswami (Dean IT), Dr K. Nagrajan (Principal KIET School of Pharmacy), Dr Preeti Chitkara (Head, PR & International Relations), and Mrs. Jyoti Luthra (Founder & President – URJAA Global Principals Association). Their presence added immense value and warmth to the celebration.

Padma Shri Awardee Mr Jitendra Singh Shunty, Founder of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Seva Dal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering with a heartfelt message. He said “Main chahata hoon ki har student apne jeevan mein sirf safalta na dhoonde, balki samarpan aur seva ko bhi apnaaye. Sahi success wahi hai jo doosron ke liye kuch kar sake.”

In her address, Dr Preeti Chitkara highlighted the significance of such initiatives, stating, “KIET has always believed in nurturing young minds, not just for academic success, but also for shaping them into responsible citizens. This event is a small step towards bridging the gap between schools and higher education institutions, and exposing students to the world of possibilities that lie ahead.”

Also present at the event were the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Kiran Sethi, Sub-Inspector of Police, and Mr Awal Madaan, an award-winning spoken English coach, who both inspired the audience with their journeys and empowering words.

More than 30 schools from across the country participated, including Army Public School, Indraprastha Global School, Alpine Public School, and Delhi National School. Many proud parents accompanied their children to witness this prestigious recognition.

The event featured engaging cultural performances by students from Mayoor School, Noida, followed by a felicitation ceremony, where students were awarded medals and certificates by URJAA and mementoes from KIET.

A special highlight of the day was a guided tour of KIET’s Centers of Excellence, where students interacted with faculty members and explored the institute’s advanced facilities, gaining valuable exposure to higher education and career pathways.

The event was meticulously organized and managed by the faculty and student coordinators of the Department of PR and International Relations, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees.

The Meritorious Students Awards 2025 concluded on a high note, echoing KIET’s commitment to excellence, exposure, and empowering the youth of the nation.
