The much-anticipated “Open Day 2025”, an initiative by JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) and Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), was inaugurated in a grand ceremony on 31 May 2025. The event was formally declared open at 10:00 AM at the SJCE Statue Circle by the Chief Guest, Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice Chancellor Dr. C. Nataraju, Principal (In-Charge), Dr. P Nanjundaswamy, Controller of Examinations and Dr. B.S. Harish, Deputy Registrar. Event Conveners Dr. K.M. Anil Kumar and Dr. M.N. Nagendra Prasad, along with university officers, heads of departments, faculty members, and students from various institutions in and around Mysuru, were also present. During the ceremony, Dr. Betsurmath also inaugurated a specially developed “Virtual Tour” application, created by students to assist attendees in navigating the Open Day campus events.
The campus came alive with energy as visitors experienced a vibrant showcase of innovation and creativity. Live demonstrations of student projects and working models reflected the university’s strong emphasis on research, real-world applications, and technological excellence. A variety of competitions were organized, including model exhibitions, poster presentations, and prototype displays, all of which highlighted students’ problem-solving abilities and inventive thinking. Engineering students from Mysuru, Bengaluru, and neighboring regions actively participated in project presentation competitions, while department exhibits were evaluated by a panel of judges.
The event also featured engaging cultural performances by students and interactive stalls hosted by student clubs, which attracted considerable attention from visiting parents and prospective students through their creative games and themed activities. A major crowd-puller was the spectacular air show facilitated by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the KSCA Grounds, which drew enthusiastic audiences of all ages. With an impressive footfall of over 8,000 attendees, “Open Day 2025” offered an enriching and immersive experience for aspiring students and their families, reinforcing JSS STU’s and SJCE’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.

I hope you are doing well. As per your mentioned query , if we compare the EC course in both BMSCE and SJCE then you should consider BMSCE because based on reputation amd resources BMSCE is the good option. Apart from this your choice is also depends on your career goals and opportunities.

JSS College of Engineering and SJCE (Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering) are actually two different institutions, even though their names sound pretty similar.
JSS College of Engineering is in Mysuru, Karnataka. It's run by the JSS Mahavidyapeetha.
SJCE, on the other hand, is also in Mysuru but it's part of the JSS Science and Technology University. It used to be affiliated with the University of Mysore, but now it's an autonomous institution.
