Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the UGC chairman announced that the CUET UG 2025 is expected to be conducted in May, as per the report by The New Indian Express. As per the last year trend, the CUET 2025 exam will likely be held from May 15 to May 24 in CBT mode. The CUET 2025 result may be announced in the first week of June and the admission processes in colleges will be done by mid-July 2025.
The UGC chief clearly mentioned in the report that the CUET UG exam will only be taken after the completion of the board examination. As per the regulation, the NTA will set the dates and will soon announce CUET form date 2025 on its website.

The exam will be conducted in May and the result will be declared in June 2025.

Students must go through the CUET detailed notification before applying. Aspirants must fill their application form before the CUET 2025 registration last date. It is advisable to the candidates to read the CUET eligibility criteria first.
The National Testing Agency is yet to release the CUET form 2025. The CUET application process 2025 is expected to start in March. The CUET application last date will likely be in April 2025.

The National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET UG in May 2025. According to the latest changes done by the UGC, the exam will be conducted only in CBT mode from the session 2025 onwards. The exam will be conducted in different shifts which will be announced later on on the NTA website. The CUET UG 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages. The UGC has removed all the other papers of languages due to a low number of aspirants. The selection in remaining languages will be conducted based on marks the General Aptitude Test.
The exam pattern of CUET will be made to provide equal and fair opportunity to each and every aspirant. Students will only have to take tests only in their domain subject in their chosen language. The exam paper will consist of 50 questions, where all are mandatory to attempt. They are provided a uniform 60 minutes to complete their paper. There is also negative marking in the paper.

If you mean that you are in your second year of a BA program and want to appear for CUET PG 2026, then yes you can take the exam. However, you will not be eligible for admission that year because you are still in your second year, and CUET PG scores are valid only for the immediately following academic session.
