GITAM Deemed to be University PhD Admissions Key Dates 2026

GITAM Deemed to be University PhD Eligibility Criteria 2026

A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8- semester bachelor’s degree programme OR a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

How To Apply for GITAM PhD Admissions 2026?

a) Candidates have to submit online application by paying a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 1200/- on or before 11th May 2026

b) Candidates MUST CHECK their eligibility before submitting online application

c) The copies of all the certificates to be uploaded while submitting online application

d) The University will nottake any responsibility for the non-receipt of applications in time (i.e. 11th May 2026 up to 5pm)

GITAM Deemed to be University Selection Process 2026

a) GITAM shall conduct GITAM Research Admissions Test (GReAT) – a written test, for all eligible candidates.

b) Candidates who have a valid CSIR / UGC- NET or GATE/ GPAT, ICAR, DBT-JRF examinations score, and candidates applying under Extramural category are exempted from GReAT and are eligible for a direct interview.

c) Interviews shall be conducted for

i. Candidates who have cleared the GReAT.

ii. Candidates who have cleared the above-mentioned national level examinations.

d) The interview shall consider the following aspects, viz. whether:

i. The candidate possesses the competence for the proposed research area.

ii. The research work can be suitably undertaken atthe Institution/School.

iii. The proposed area of research can contribute to generate new/additional knowledge.

e) The candidates who qualify in the Interview shall be offered Admission letters into the Ph.D. Programme.

f) Admission is purely based on merit.

g) Merely meeting the requirements may not ensure admission.

GITAM PhD Fees 2026

Note: Academic Fee issubject to revision from time to time as decided by the University. *A limited number of Fellowships shall be awarded to selected candidates under Full Time – Foreign Nationals category.
