Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
Answer: I'm from Odisha.
Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
Answer: I'm pursuing BA LLB (Hons) (3rd year).
Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Answer: No
Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
Answer: Yes, there is a wide variety of activities and events. And there are many clubs. I was a member of Advaita (Music Club), Silhouette (Art Club), Joint Secretary of Book Club, Head (Design and Media) Student Council and many other committees under the School of Law.
Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Answer: I start my day with having breakfast, then rush to attend my classes, work on assignments in my spare time, some time for self-study, and later in the evening post dinner have some quality time with friends at the campus, meetings and work of various committees and Student Council.
Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Answer: One of the major highlights of the course here is the mentor-mentee program where the experienced and highly qualified faculty here provide us with personalized guidance and support, which has been instrumental in not only my academic success but also my holistic growth.
Careers360: What all facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?
Answer: We have various indoor and outdoor sports facilities, well equipped libraries etc. Rangeela Lounge is a different and unique concept. There are many cultural and fun oriented clubs to cater to one’s passion and to encourage participation in activities like photography, dance, music, fashion, comedy, theatre, literature, gaming and much more. Bennett Hatchery encourages out of the box thinking and entrepreneurial learning, which helps us build critical and dialogical thinking,
Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
Answer: The hostels are much better and proper cleanliness is ensured by the housekeeping. The hostels serve a double sharing system and are quite comfortable. The rooms are cleaned twice a week on routine but the same can be requested as per the president’s schedule.
Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Answer: A wellness Center is a prominent part of the university’s infrastructure. It is well equipped and is always managed by a doctor and a medical assistant. The Centre strictly adheres to the covid 19 protocols and promises immediate attention. The setup comprises an ambulance as well that communicates with Kailash Hospital, Greater Noida in case of emergency.
Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?
Answer: University work requires full engagement and concentration! So, prioritizing and planning is your best protection against deadlines creeping up on you. Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students’ point of view?
Answer: Clubs and societies are a significant part of campus life. We have events going on every now and then. We have 40+ clubs, hence there's a lot of variety for the students to choose from. They play a vital role in holistic development and extrAnswer:curricular involvement which is equally important as academics.
Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?
Answer: All the events at BU can be tracked through the official website and the various Instagram handles but our newsletter sums up all the activities at the end of the tenure.
Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
Answer: The popular hangouts joints at the institute are Kathi Junction, N block ground, Maggi Hotspot. They help me relax with my friends being on campus.
Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time at the campus?
Answer: I spend my leisure time with my friends or like to indulge myself in playing some sport. Rest I’d like to sleep and chill with friends in my hostel room.
Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?
Answer: -Yes, Bennett University has an active Facebook page where students can share their views, ideas, and experiences of life on campus. The page features updates on campus events, student achievements, and important announcements from the university.
Careers360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?
Answer: Good companies and firms come for recruitment. And almost everyone gets placed. This is our law’s first batch and has also got stellar Bennett University placement with the highest package being Rs 15 LPA.
