AGRICET 2024: The Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University has issued the AGRICET 2024 hall ticket on August 19, in online mode. Students can download the AGRICET admit card 2024 by using their login credentials on the official website - angrau.ac.in. The university will conduct the AGRICET 2024 exam on August 27. The AGRICET 2024 correction window was opened from August 7 to 8, in online mode. The university closed the AGRICET 2024 registrations on July 31. However, candidates were able to submit their forms with a late fee till August 5.

The full form of AGRICET is the Agriculture Common Entrance Test. It is organized by Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) at a State level in Andhra Pradesh. ANGRAU conducts the Agriculture Common Entrance Test (AGRICET). The university will declare the AGRICET 2024 results tentatively in September. After the declaration of results, the university will begin the AGRICET counselling 2024 based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam.

Applications are invited from Diploma holders in Agriculture, Seed Technology and Organic Farming for admission into four years BSc (Hons) Agriculture Degree Programme. AGRICET is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted in online mode. All those candidates who desire to get admission within the B.Sc Agriculture and M.Sc Agriculture Programs of assorted national and state-level universities and faculties, must fill the AGRICET application form 2024 by visiting the official website of the ANGRAU. The question paper contains questions in Telugu medium. The AGRICET Entrance exam 2024 will be conducted for 1 hour and 30 minutes and the question paper consist of a total 120 questions. The AGRICET question paper contain each question in objective type (multiple choice) and carries one mark only. Students need to meet the eligibility criteria before applying for admission. 

What is AGRICET?

Agriculture Common Entrance Test (AGRICET) is conducted by Acharya N.G Agricultural University (ANGRAU). Applicants with diplomas in agriculture, seed technology, and organic farming are invited to apply for admission to the four-year BSc Agriculture (Hons) Degree Programme. AGRICET is an online state-level entrance exam. Entrance test duration is one hour and thirty minutes, with 120 questions on the paper. Candidates should have passed a two-year diploma in Agriculture / Seed Technology / Organic Farming from ANGRAU / PJTSAU (those who are going to complete the diploma requirements in 2024-25 academic year can also apply). Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2023 with an upper age limit 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of S.C, S.T and 27 years in respect of PH candidates. 

Note: The candidates are eligible to write exams in their respective discipline only. 

The university started the AGRICET 2024 correction window on August 7. Students were able to edit the AGRICET 2024 application form till August 8. Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University has started the AGRICET 2024 application process on July 15, in online mode. Students were able to fill and submit the AGRICET application form 2024 till July 31. The university offers admissions into four years B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Degree Programme through a computer based test AGRICET 2024 for the academic year 2024-25. 

List of documents to be attached with the hard copy of online application: 

1. Hard copy of online submitted Application form.

2. Proof of Age (Birth certificate/Xerox copy of SSC certificate).

3. Attested copy of the marks statement of SSC.

4. Marks memorandum cum pass certificate of Diploma Course (or) Course Completion Certificate of Diploma issued by the Principal of the Polytechnic. 

Submission of Application for AGRICET-2024 

  • The candidates shall submit their AGRICET-2024 application online through the university website: www.angrau.ac.in with a fee of Rs. 1400/- (Rupees one thousand and four hundred only) and Rs.700/- (Rupees seven hundred only) in case of SC, ST & PH candidates.
  • The last date for submission of an application without late fee is August 5, 2024. Candidates shall make payment online through Payment Gateway. 
  • If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat before the closure of admissions for the Academic Year 2024-25, an amount of Rs. 1,000/- shall be collected as processing fee. The remaining fees already paid during admission shall be refunded. 
  • If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat after closure of admissions process for the Academic Year 2024-25, the candidate has to forfeit the fees already paid and in addition, he/she has to pay an amount of Rs.3,650/- for General and Rs.1825/- for SC, ST and PH category towards seat cancellation fee.
  • Once payment is made, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances, hence, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the specified eligibility criteria before submitting the online application for counselling. 
  • After successful completion of online submission of application, the candidate must send the hardcopy of the submitted ONLINE application along with the following documents (by Regd. Post / Speed Post) so as to reach “The Convener, AGRICET-2024, O/o The Associate Dean, S.V.Agricultural College, Tirupati -517 502, A.P.).  
  • The candidates may also submit their online applications with a late fee of Rs. 2,800/- (Rupees two thousand and eight hundred only) for General candidates and for SC/ST/PH Rs. 1,400/- (Rupees one thousand and four hundred only). Latest Conduct certificate issued by the Head of the Institute last attended indicates that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period and never been fined and punished. 
  • Latest Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST/BCs) issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer (not older than 6 months). 
  • Proof of local status (last 7 years) through study or residence certificate. 
  • Certificate issued by the concerned authorities in the case of Special categories like PH, NCC, Sports and CAP. 
  • One self attested passport size photograph 
  • Payment acknowledgement (Transaction ID/UTR) paid through online for Rs. 1400/- for General and Rs. 700/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates (or) in the event of late fee paid Rs. 2,800/- (Rs. 1400/- in case of SC/ST/PH). 

Payment of the Application Fee

First, candidates had to pay the application fee via online mode via credit card/ debit card/ net banking. For this, candidates had to fill in the basic details such as diploma id number, candidate's name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, category and payment type. The applied candidates can download AGRICET admit card 2024 online from August 19 to 27, by visiting the official website. The hall ticket can be downloaded by entering the login credentials of the applicant from the university website - angrau.ac.in with respective diploma specialization (Agriculture/Seed Technology/Organic Farming), with indicated Entrance Test Centers.

The AGRICET 2024 hall ticket must be presented at the examination hall, if fail to submit the candidate will not be allowed for the test (if the photograph/signature is missing or blurred or invisible on hall ticket, paste your coloured passport size photograph & sign in prescribed area duly attested by authoritative officer with seal and a xerox copy of the same hall ticket is to be handed over to the invigilator).

The AGRICET 2024 admit card clearly states the items permitted to be carried and that they are not permitted to carry anything else. Mobile phones will be deposited at the designated location, to be collected after the exam.

The merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the university website - www.angrau.ac.in and the eligible candidates shall be informed about the counselling date though the university website only. 

For the preparation of AGRICET 2024 merit list, in case of more than one student securing the same combined score obtained, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following.

I. The total marks /OGPA obtained in diploma 

II. SSC overall grade point or marks percentage 

III.  If the tie still persists, the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger. 

The qualifying percentage of marks for the AGRICET-2024 is 25 % (30 marks out of 120 marks) of the maximum marks considered for ranking. However, for candidates belonging to SC and ST, no minimum qualifying marks are prescribed. But their admission will be limited to the extent of seats reserved for such categories (vide G.O.Ms.No.179, LEN & TE, Dated:16.06.1986). 

Note: Candidates are informed that submission of hardcopy of ONLINE application along with the necessary documents is mandatory, without which he/she will not be eligible for the counselling process.

Students qualified in the AGRICET exam 2024 should appear for the counselling process to finalise their admission.  Candidates who are mentioned in the merit list need to participate in the AGRICET 2024 counselling. Students should submit all the required documents for verification and pay the admission fee to finalise their admission.
