OUAT 2026 - The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology will start the OUAT 2026 application process in March on its official website. What is the OUAT Entrance Exam?
Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) conducts the OUAT entrance exam for admission to agriculture courses. The OUAT entrance test is conducted every year by the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology to admit candidates to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. The university offers admission to various kinds of undergraduate and graduate programmes in fields like agriculture, veterinary science, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, horticulture, home science, fishery science, and forestry under the semester system, according to information provided by the university's official website. For UG programmes:
B.Sc. (Hons.)/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Horticulture:
As of December 31, 22, applicants must be older than 17 years old.
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 intermediate exam or a test equivalent from a board that is recognised.
To be eligible for admission, applicants must have received at least 50% (or 40% in the reserved category).
Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology are required disciplines for applicants.
B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering):
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 intermediate exam or a recognised board's equivalent.
For admission, applicants must have PCM as one of their required subjects.
To be eligible for the exam, applying candidates must receive at least 50% of the possible points (or 40% for the reserved category).
For PG programmes:
M.Sc. (Agriculture):
The applicant must be in possession of a bachelor's degree from a school that the state or federal government has recognised.
Candidates must receive at least 60% of the possible points for the general category (and 50% for the restricted category).
M.Tech (Agriculture Engineering):
The applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Candidates must have earned at least 60% (or 50% for candidates in the reserved category).
The university will release the OUAT 2026 application form in March on its official website. Candidates should submit an OUAT online application form for UG programmes before the deadline. Candidates have to log in providing e-mail, mobile number and OTP to submit the OUAT 2026 application form - A. The candidate had to log in to edit the application form and download the acknowledgement of the application form. However, the OUAT admit card, entrance mark, weightage and rank card and intimation letter are made available through a link using the application number and date of birth. The procedure for submission of the online OUAT application form for admission into various UG and PG courses is given below.
Step 1: Visit the OUAT website “ouat.nic.in.”
Step 2: Read the prospectus for the UG and PG courses carefully.
Step 3: Candidates can access the application form by visiting the website ouat.nic.in.
Step 4: Then, candidates have to go to the admission section and click on student login for UG and PG admission- 2026 or directly go to ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in.
Step 5: Once click on the link the student login window will appear and the candidate will fill up the following information to log in.
i) E-mail ID
ii) Mobile number
iii) OTP sent to the mobile number and email
iv) Captcha code
Step 6: The candidate will land up on the dashboard page, showing available services to apply for, under the apply section.
Step 7: By clicking on the apply button the application form will appear.
Step 8: The candidate has to fill up the application form and candidates are advised to be careful while filling in the online application form.
Step 9: The candidate is required to enter correct personal information, upload his/her recent passport-size colour photograph (Height:200px,width:150px, file size: 200kb maximum), full signature (Height: 100px, width: 150px, file size: 200kb maximum) in jpg/jpeg format and other information
Step 10: Before submission of application form, the candidate can have a preview of the application and make corrections if required.
Step 11: After submission of the application, the candidate will move on to another window for payment of the application fee.
Step 12: The candidate has to pay Rs. 2000/- only for application fees to the university besides bank charges as specified by the Bank depending upon the mode of payment selected through online payment through Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card of any Bank/UPI.
Step 13: After successful payment of the application fee, a message will be sent to the mobile number and email.
Step 14: Later, the candidate should take a printout of the computer-generated filled application form with payment details for future reference. Application form acknowledgement can be downloaded from the Activity Section on the Dashboard page using the application number.
