About: IILM was established in 1993, under the aegis of the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust. IILM University offers a holistic and integrated approach to learning across a broad range of subjects of; Liberal Arts, Management, and Law. IILM is accredited by the SAQs (South Asian Quality Assurance System), NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
For admission at IILM University, candidates will have to submit the application form with all necessary documents. All candidates with good academic achievement, performance in a wide array of extracurricular activities and a statement of purpose will be invited for the IILM Personal Interview before the final communication about their admission. A minimum of 25% of seats for admissions in the University will be reserved for students of the State of Haryana, out of which 10% seats will be reserved for students belonging to Scheduled Castes of the State of Haryana, as per Section 35(3) of the Haryana Private University Act 2006. IILM University considers LSAT India scores as part of the selection process for admission to the BA LLB, BBA LLB, and LLM programmes. IILM University is also accepting the Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam scores.
Q. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
A: My name is Tushar, I am a student of SCSE. I am from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Q. Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
A: I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and I am a 1st year student.
Q. Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined IILM University?
A: Moving to a new place and adapting to a different schedule and routine took some time. Everything felt new and unfamiliar, from the campus layout to the academic expectations.
Over time, as I became more familiar with the environment and established a routine, things started to improve. I found support from peers, professors, and campus resources, which helped me, navigate the challenges and make the most of my time at the institute.
Q. What activities are offered at IILM University? Are there any clubs for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
A: At the institute, there are a wide variety of activities and clubs available for students to engage in beyond their academic work. Here are some examples of the types of extracurricular activities offered:
Cultural and Art Clubs: For those interested in the arts, there are clubs like the Drama Club, Music Club, Dance Club, and Art Society, where students can express their creativity and participate in performances and exhibitions.
Sports Clubs: The institute offers zonal competition and intercollege competitions and a range of sports teams, including cricket, basketball, badminton, football, table tennis, yoga, and more. These provide opportunities for regular exercise, competition, and teamwork.
Professional and Career Development: Clubs like the Business Club, Engineering Society, and various pre-professional organisations help students network, gain industry insights, and prepare for their future careers.
Coding Club: The Coding Club is a vibrant community of tech enthusiasts who come together to learn, share, and innovate. We organise hackathons, coding competitions, and various workshops to foster skill development and creativity among members
Q. Describe a typical day at IILM University - what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
A: A typical day at the institute starts at 7:00 AM when I wake up, have breakfast, and get ready for the day. After a morning exercise session, I head to my first class at 9:00 AM. Post-class, I spend time studying or working on assignments until lunch. The afternoon involves more classes, followed by extracurricular activities like the Debate Team and Dance or Environmental Club. I dedicate a couple of hours to study and homework and then enjoy dinner. The evening is for relaxation, whether it’s watching a movie, reading, or socialising with friends.

Q. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
A: The faculty-student ratio is 1:24. Faculty members are supportive and interactive with us. Teachers here are always ready to guide and help us.
Q. What all facilities do you have on the IILM University campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?
A: As a student at IILM University campus offers a wide range of facilities:
Libraries: Extensive collections of books, journals, and digital resources with quiet study areas and group study rooms.
Laboratories: State-of-the-art labs for various disciplines including science, engineering, and technology.

Q. How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
A: As a student at IILM University, I find the hostels to be quite comfortable and conducive to living and studying. The rooms are adequately furnished with essential amenities, providing a cosy and functional living space.
In terms of cleanliness, I would say that the hostel staff generally does a good job of maintaining cleanliness standards. Common areas, bathrooms, and corridors are cleaned regularly, ensuring a hygienic environment for residents.
Regarding security, I feel quite safe in the hostels at IILM University. The campus security measures are robust, with 24x7 security personnel and surveillance systems in place. Access to the hostel premises is controlled; Overall, I am satisfied with the comfort, cleanliness, and security provided by the hostels at IILM University.
Q. What about the medical facilities at IILM University? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
A: At IILM University, students typically have access to medical facilities to address their health needs. The campus usually includes an on-site health center or clinic staffed with medical professionals capable of providing basic medical care and treatment for common illnesses and injuries. Additionally, some universities have partnerships with local ambulance services or transportation providers to ensure that students can receive timely medical transport if needed.

Q. How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?
A: To balance studies, projects, exams, and other activities, I rely on effective time management, setting clear goals, and prioritising tasks. I break down larger projects into smaller, manageable tasks and create a schedule to ensure steady progress. Regular study sessions help me retain information efficiently, while self-care activities like exercise and relaxation keep me energised and focused. Flexibility and adaptability are key, allowing me to adjust my approach as needed while maintaining a healthy balance between academic responsibilities and personal well-being.
Q. Tell us about the clubs and societies at IILM University and how significant are they from your point of view or the student’s point of view.
A: The clubs and societies at our campus offer diverse opportunities for students to pursue their interests, develop new skills, and build connections. From academic and professional organisations to cultural, NGO, and sports clubs, there's something for everyone. These clubs provide a platform for students to engage outside the classroom, fostering personal growth, leadership development, and a sense of community. From my perspective, they are significant because they offer avenues for socialisation, personal development, and pursuing passions beyond academic studies, contributing to a well-rounded college experience. Many students find these clubs and societies to be vital for networking, gaining practical experience, and enhancing their resumes for future endeavours.
Q. Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at IILM University?
A: Yes, it is published by the name PRAVAH. It is a Newsletter which contains information about the latest events at IILM University.
Q. What are the popular hangouts at IILM University? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
A: Chai Garam, Box Café, Scholar’s Cafe, Gymnasium. Nearby places are Venice Mall and Omaxe Mall.
Q. How do you spend your leisure time at the IILM University campus?
A: During my leisure time on campus, I enjoy socialising with friends, exploring nature, participating in clubs and organisations, attending events and workshops, reading, and relaxing. Whether it's hanging out with friends, taking walks in green spaces, joining clubs, attending campus events, or simply unwinding with a book or music, I make sure to engage in activities that help me relax, recharge, and enjoy my college experience to the fullest.
