Muralikrishna: RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) was established in the year 2001 under the aegis of the R. N. Shetty Group of Institutions, with the aim of imparting quality technical education. Our vision is to build a premier institution recognised globally for excellence in technical education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to nurture students into competent professionals and responsible citizens by providing them with a holistic and value-based education, fostering a culture of creativity, discipline, and lifelong learning.
Careers360: Tell us something about the admission process?
Muralikrishna: Admissions to our undergraduate programs are conducted through Karnataka CET (KEA Counselling), COMED-K, and Management quota. We follow AICTE and VTU norms strictly. For postgraduate programs such as MBA and MCA, admissions are based on PGCET scores or equivalent entrance examinations. Transparency, merit, and inclusiveness define our admission process.

Muralikrishna: At RNSIT, we offer state-of-the-art infrastructure that enhances learning and development:
Smart classrooms and well-equipped laboratories across all departments
A fully automated central library with digital resources and subscriptions to reputed journals
Dedicated innovation and incubation centres
Industry-standard research labs in emerging technologies like AI, ML, Robotics, and IoT
A vast sports complex, hostels, canteen, auditorium, and a serene green campus for overall well-being
We also have Wi-Fi enabled zones and collaborative workspaces that encourage interdisciplinary learning
Careers360: There is a lot of stress that is being made with regard to interaction with the industry as well as companies that recruit. What are the steps being taken by the institute in this direction?
Muralikrishna: Yes, industry interaction is a core priority at RNSIT. We have:
Active Industry Advisory Boards in each department
Regular guest lectures, technical talks, and seminars by industry experts
Strategic MoUs with leading tech companies and startups for training, certifications, and internships
Industry-mentored projects and hackathons
We also host annual placement drives and industry-connected events, ensuring students are job-ready with real-world exposure
Careers360: Internships are now mandatory as per AICTE guidelines. Does the institute help students with this? If yes, how?
Muralikrishna: Absolutely. At RNSIT, we have a dedicated Career Development Cell (Training / Internship / Placement) that works in coordination with departments and the placement team to ensure students get meaningful internship opportunities. We collaborate with companies in Bengaluru and other metro cities and leverage alumni networks for industry internships. Our students have interned at leading organisations including Amazon, Bosch, Infosys, TCS, and several innovative startups.
