It's difficult to tell you the exact about the admission possibilities as cutoff varies every year. IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIT Indore offer M.Sc Biotechnology. But as per the previous year cutoff, with this rank the chances are less to get a seat for Biotechnology in IITs and none of NIT offer M.Sc biotechnology programme.

The cutoff marks for IITs and NITs may vary every year.According to IIT JAM 2019 the closing ranks for Chemistry in general category  in the third round of counselling is around 1000 . So it is difficult to get admission in NIT s with your score.

Since your rank and score is quite decent, you have high chances of getting NITs. So you don't need to be down your rank and score is really good you can definitely get NITs.

If you consider last year cutoffs then you can’t expect much with this rank in 1st, 2nd and 3rd lists of iits.But Chances are there in Spot Rounds, after the 3rd offer will come out. So keep an eye on those spot rounds.

Do not miss out on filling up the form and be always be updated with the spot rounds.

To get into IIT for masters degree, you have to appear for IIT jam examination. Now according to the eligibility criteria set up by the IIT jam examination board, Mathematics for at least two years/four semesters is required to be able to get into any IIT for doing M.sc in mathematics. So i i  sorry but no IIT can take you. Try for other government college
