For IIT JAM physics having clear concepts and strong basics are always important. Remember selection of books are very important. Now you can read books which you have read in your semester exams but be relevant with the syllabus of IIT JAM. Also do practice previous year papers in order to test your skills in problems and to get accustomed with pattern of the paper.

Some of the books which are said to be the classic books for IIT JAM/JEST/TIFR are :

  • Mechanics: 'David Morin','AB GUPTA' JC UPADHYAY, GOLDSTEIN

  • Quantum Physics (all the books are relevant to all the exams): Griffiths, Beiser, Resnick-Eisberg, Zetilli, Arhuldas(problem solving)

I am a btech student and i am preparing for IIT jam mathematics exam so how should i study / manage both bsc Mathematics and btech Mathematics ?

anirudha vats 19th Jun, 2021

Hey,

There is no much difference in the Bsc and BTech degree. In fact BTech degree covers most of the Bsc syllabus.

In order to get yourself started I will suggest you to first start solving the past year papers in order to see where you stand as well as to see or analyse the important part of the portion you are weak in and you need more practice.

Trust me Into Jam won't be a tough call for you if you have gone through your B-Tech degree seriously.

All the very best.

Thank you
