Panshul: I am from Delhi, and I am currently a dental student at Manav Rachna Dental College. Being from a city rich in culture and education, I have always been inspired to pursue a career in healthcare, particularly dentistry, where I can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

Panshul: I am pursuing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Manav Rachna Dental College. I am currently an intern, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are essential for a career in dentistry.

Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?

Panshul: Yes, the initial months were challenging, primarily adjusting to the rigorous academic schedule and the clinical practices. However, with time, I became more accustomed to the environment and the support from faculty and fellow students helped me overcome these hurdles.

Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc. for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

Panshul: The institute offers various extracurricular activities like cultural events, sports, and academic activities. Health Awareness camps, Oral hygiene camps and treatment camps are organised regularly.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

Panshul: A typical day begins early, usually around 8 AM, for clinical postings. There’s a good patient exposure here in the OPD. Post-lunch, I spend time studying or practicing procedures in the lab. I usually end the day by reviewing my notes or preparing for upcoming exams.

Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

Panshul: The faculty-student ratio is balanced, ensuring personalized attention. The teachers are approachable and encourage open communication, making it easier to clarify doubts. They play an active role in our academic growth, guiding us not only in coursework but also in practical skills and career advice.

Careers360: What all facilities do you have in the campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?

Panshul: The campus offers excellent facilities, including modern dental clinics, well-equipped labs, and a spacious library. What stands out most is the advanced simulation lab, where we practice procedures using state-of-the-art technology, preparing us for real-world clinical scenarios.

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?

Panshul: The hostels are comfortable with well-maintained rooms and common areas. Cleanliness is regularly maintained, and there are housekeeping services to ensure a hygienic living environment. The overall atmosphere is conducive to both studying and relaxing.

Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

Panshul: Yes, the institute has an in-house medical facility that provides prompt care in case of emergencies. The medical staff is well-trained and equipped to handle any situation, ensuring that students have quick access to necessary medical attention.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams, and other activities?

Panshul: Balancing everything requires good time management. I set aside specific hours for studying, while also dedicating time to extracurricular activities and projects. Staying organized with a planner helps me stay on top of deadlines, and prioritizing tasks ensures I can manage both academics and personal interests efficiently.

Panshul: The clubs and societies play a crucial role in enriching campus life. They provide opportunities for leadership, creativity, and community service. From a student's perspective, they offer a much-needed break from academics and foster a sense of belonging and teamwork, which is essential for personal growth.

Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

Panshul: Yes, the institute has an in-house magazine where we feature the latest events, research, student achievements, and upcoming campus activities. It helps keep everyone informed about what's happening within the college and serves as a platform for student expression.

Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

Panshul: On campus, the cafeteria and eateries are popular hangouts where students gather to relax between classes.

Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time at the campus?

Panshul: In my leisure time, I often hang out with friends at the campus café or library, where we discuss course material or just relax. I also enjoy participating in sports events or exploring the campus grounds for some fresh air.

Panshul: Yes, our campus has a Facebook page where students actively post updates, share experiences, and sometimes even organize events or casual gatherings. It's a great space for students to interact and express their thoughts in a fun, informal way.

Careers360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?

Panshul: Various healthcare-related companies, dental practices, and research organizations come campus for recruitment. The placement rate is quite high, with a significant percentage of students getting placed every year. The recruitment process includes interviews, group discussions, and practical assessments based on the specific job requirements.

I hope you are doing fine. Regarding scholarship in Manav Rachna dental college you can get it with your NEET score :

501 and above - 100% scholarship

451- 500 - 50% scholarship

401 - 450  - 25% scholarship

Also 25% Tuition fee Waiver up to maximum of Rs. 12500/ per semester to First Child only. But if first child is already getting scholarship on the basis of Merit then this benefit would be passed to second child, if applicable.

10% Tuition fee Waiver up to maximum of Rs. 5000/ per semester to the Sibling of student already enrolled in any of the course offered by manav Rachna.
