Hello.
Not only for jam exam but also for all exam the preparation strategy should be like this.
  • Firstly analyse the entire syllabus of the exam and find those topics which are easy and have higher weightage in the examination
  • Clear theory concept properly, don't pile up doubts if have then clear it ASAP.
  • Don't forget to solve previous year question papers
  • after completing a single book refer some more reference books that is question bank also.

How many marks required to get rank under 500 in iit jam chemistry

The marks vs rank list is not available officially for any IIT JAM exam.

But I would give an approximate rank vs marks list for IITJAM chemistry.

Marks:70 and above- R ank :less than 20

Marks:65-69 -rank :20-50

Marks:60-64- rank:51-150

Marks:55-59-rank:151-250

Marks:45-54- rank:251-500

You can appear for M.Sc Mathematics if you have Mathematics as an essential subject for at least two years/four semesters. Beside this, if you are from general categoey, then you have to get atleast 55% marks or 5.55 out of 10 aggregate marks in your qualifying degree.

if I have scored 65marks in IIT jam chemistry exam can I get iit Indore for MSc chemistry for general category?

Hello Aspirant, the cutoffs change from year to year, the qualifying marks for chemistry in IIT-JAM is  27 marks. The closing rank would be around 320. You can check the cutoffs and have a clarity whether you are eligible or not at the official website http://jam.iitkgp.ac.in/jam2019/jam2019/doc/JAM-2019-Round1_Cutoff.pdf .

The initial round and final round cutoff's are almost similar.

hi,

the iits offered msc in chemistry is TB, IITD, IITGN, IITG, IITH, IITI, IITK, IITM, IITR. the eligibility criteria is Bachelor's degree with Chemistry for three years or six semesters and Mathematics at the (10+2) level. so you are not eligible.

The first step is to prepare a time table keeping in mind all the units and topics. Solving JAM 2020 physics sample papers will give you the necessary experience and confidence they will need on the day of the exam.You can also make small notes or  flashcards of important points and write down whatever feels hard to understand.
