Joint Admission Test for M.Sc Programmes
Akash, Honestly, it is very difficult to predict the cutoff or the expected ranks of IIT JAM Physics 2020 as of now, but we can make use of previous year trends to calculate the expected rank and cutoff. With respect to the cutoff, it is a big possibility that you would clear the cutoff irrespective of your category as many coaching institutions predict it to be around 16-19 for general category students. However, predicting the rank is a bit more difficult and tedious task as it also depends on factors like total number of candidates and difficulty level of exam which varies every year and we cannot really predict the effect of toughness of this years' paper on the rank. However, looking at past few years trends , you can expect a rank close to 1200-1250, maybe even less than that based on the variables as described earlier. Note that is the General Rank and not the category rank which is very difficult to predict at this instant unless we know the exact number of same category students participating in IIT JAM PHYSICS exam. Also, understand that is only a prediction made on the basis of previous years trends and actual results may vary, however, these predictions do help in evaluating our chances.
Hope this helps.
Hello,
Getting ab admission will be difficult even if you have reservation category. Cutoff percentile is less for PwD. But admission is given on the basis of rank. Categorical mark and rank is decided by the board so it is unpredictable.
Look for cutoff and apply for admission for non technical branches or core branches.
Chances are less but better to give a try.
Hope it helps!

Dear Shalu,

hi,
see at this score you have less chances for iits, however since you have qualifies you may participate in counselling process, as per previous years score you have chances in nit agartala, nit arunachal pradesh, nit meghalaya. but I suggest you also to try to apply in state government colleges, delhi university, banaras hindu university , jadavpur university also, some of the colleges has separate entrance test and some offers admission based on graduation marks for msc courses.
hello aspirant..
As per the expected cutoff for this year the cut of for the sc category is 54.01 .this is not the official cutoff declared by the nta but the official cutoff will be around this percentile. So you need to work hard and do well in h=the session of the jee and get admission in nits
all the best for your bright future
Ranvir, To be honest, it is very difficult to predict the cutoffs and the predicted rank of IIT JAM Mathematics, but we can make use of previous year trends to calculate the expected rank and cutoff. Firstly discussing with respect to the cutoff, it is a big possibility that you would clear the cutoff irrespective of your category as many coaching institutions predict this years cutoff to be around 20. However, predicting the rank is a bit more difficult as it also depends on factors like total number of candidates and difficulty level of exam which varies every year and we cannot predict the toughness of this years' paper and its effect on the rank as of now. However, looking at past few years trends , you can expect a rank close to 220-245, maybe even less depending on the variables as discussed above. However, it is still advised that do not rely totally on these predictions as they are largely dependent on previous years trends, however, it does help us in understanding our chances.
Rishabh, At this point of time, to be honest, it is very difficult to predict the cutoffs and the predicted rank of IIT JAM Mathematics, but we can make use of previous year trends to calculate the expected rank and cutoff. Firstly discussing with respect to the cutoff, it is a big possibility that you would clear the cutoff irrespective of your category as many coaching institutions predict it to be around 20. However, predicting the rank is a bit more difficult as it also depends on factors like total number of candidates and difficulty level of exam which varies every year and we cannot predict the toughness of the paper and its effect on the rank as of now. However, looking at past few years trends , you can expect a rank less than 100, probably close to 80-90, maybe even less depending on the variables as discussed above. Remember it is the expected General Rank based on previous years trends and not the category rank which is extremely difficult to predict at this instant. However, it is still advised to not rely totally on these predictions as they are largely dependent on previous years trends, however, it also helps us in understanding our chances.
Hi Showkat,
Sorry to say but to take admission in any NIT for M.Sc. in Mathematics ,the minimum eligibility criteria is B,Sc in Mathematics/B.A, with Mathematics honors.
So after doing B.Tech you cannot take admission in any NIT for masters in mathematics.Well you can do Integrated P.hd after completing you four year B.tech Degree.
Hope this will help, please feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Thank You.
The rank depends upon the no of students appeared in the exam but for IIT JAM biotechnology cutoff goes around 36 marks for general category, 30 for obc and 17 for sc\st.
Your rank will be around 800-900
