Joint Admission Test for M.Sc Programmes
Hello Jitesh,
The JAM is conducted every year for candidates who wish to seek admission in M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-UG Degrees Programmes at the IITs of India and Integrated PhD Degree Programmes at IISc, Bangalore.
IIT Kanpur releases the cut off scores every year, based on which candidates can seek admission. Based on previous years cut-offs trends, the following scores are expected to be the cut off scores this year for Mathematics:
General : 20.96-24.96
OBC : 18.66-22.66
SC/ST/PwD : 9.48-13.48
However, the cut off scores for admission into NITs range from 34.33 - 30.67. (However this is subjected to revision). Therefore, as per the expected cut offs, you'll be able to seek admission at NITs across the country.
Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!
Regards
Hello,
Considering 2019 cut off trends you ma have chances of getting seat in IIT, Kanpur. In 2019 a candidate with rank 249 belonging to OBC category secured seat in IIT, Kanpur in round 1.The cut off in round 2 and round 3 were 271 and 260 respectively. However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.
hi jeevasri,
No, 2581 rank will not fetch you a seat in IIT Madras through IIT Jam. With the rank of 2581 you can't IIT Madras even if you have sc quota. If you have st quota then you can get top old IITs like IIT delhi, madras with this rank.
For detailed cutoff for all IITs in IIT Jam, I am attaching a pdf file. You should check it here : Click Here (https://jam.iitk.ac.in/doc/JAM2019_cutoffRound3.pdf)
I hope this answer will help. All the best for the future!!
To be eligible to get admission in M.Sc Chemistry in IITs through IIT JAM a candidate must have studied chemistry in your bachelor's degree(for 3 years or 6 semester) and must have studied mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2.
Now, as you have not studied Mathematics in 10+2 you can appear in Maths exam alone through open board and pass in the exam then you will be eligible.
The closing ranks depends on a lot of factors and are subjected to variations every year.According to IIT JAM 2019 the closing ranks for NIT Warangal are given below :
M.Sc in Applied Mathematics - 942
M.Sc in Mathematics and Scientific Computing - 912
These are the closing ranks after round 3 counselling. It is difficult for you to get admission with this rank but keep in mind that the cut offs vary every year.
Hi there,
Your rank is fairly good enough to get biotechnology in any of the NITs across the nation. You can easily get biotechnology in the nits,
But according to me you need to clear jee advance. I order to get admission.
I hope this help
Well, in JAM Mathematics the average highest mark every time the exam is conducted is around 70-80 out of 100.Since you got 44 marks in IIT JAM 2020 in mathematics you can expect a rank between 100-200 as it is a good score
Hope this helps you !
Hey aspirant
As you may be knowing that DIPS ACADEMY is one of the most popular coaching institutions for preparation of IIT JAM Mathematics and the faculty and notes which you get at the institution is sufficient for a candidate to be clearing the exam and if he/she substantiates the notes with some quality reference books, then there is a high chance that he/she may get a good college for admission. Dips Academy has produced good results in the past few years including the toppers in few years and so they understand the paper pattern of IIT JAM and design the study material accordingly. However, it must be said that you can also opt for any other good coaching institutes' notes too for your preparation as they are quite the same, the difference according to many toppers, lies in your choice of reference books and your preparation, of course but it is better to opt for a more popular choice in DIPS ACADEMY.
Hope this helps you and good luck for your examination.

You can apply for government colleges in the domicile state for security such that if you are doesn't get in IIT then government college will be the last option .
