what is the benefits for doing m.sc in mathematics at iit through IIT JAM than other university for doing m. Sc. please say mam/sir

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 3rd Aug, 2020

Hey Biswaprakash

Besides the societal advantage and the fact that it will make your parents proud the factual benefits you will get from IIT are a great faculty who will lead to better understanding of the subject with clarity in the topics (which honestly you wont get in most colleges in India), You will be preferred for a job in many MNC companies or even in schools if you want to get appointed as a teacher and besides just forcing you to focus on your grades you will get great opportunities to do extra  curriculum activities   like music, event management, sports, attending various seminars, participating in drama, creative writing, etc.

with the score card of marks 23 in iit jam is there any opportunity of getting any renowned institutions or some scholarship or fellowship?

Shreya Singh Student Expert 2nd Aug, 2020

Hello,

As you have mentioned that you have scored 23 marks in IIT Jam but it would be difficult to tell you exactly about the admission chances as cutoff vary every year depending on the various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, Number of candidates appeared for the exam, Performance of the candidates etc.

However you can check the previous year cutoff to take an Idea about the admission possibilities.

iit jam exam conducts for admission in various msc courses in iits, however there is few reservations is available for reserve category candidates as well as pwd candidate.

for pwd reservation eligibility criteria is  with any category of disability (viz., blindness or low vision, hearing impairment, loco-motor disability, and/or cerebral palsy), benefit will be given to only those who have at least 40% permanent physical impairment with respect to a body part/ system/extremity/ whole body, etc. Such candidates must submit the Certificate of Disability from a Government Medical Board and should be fit to pursue the Program. Which is the best IIT JAM Economics Coaching in India? Is GATEIIT Best?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 10th Aug, 2020

Hey Akash

Since  Economics has been added only recently in IIT-JAM 2021 you need to know a few things about how to prepare for jam exam. If you want to go for online coaching institute then GATEIIT (Gate Indian Institute of Tutorials)  is the best as it has good experience in teaching economics. It has the experience hence your online classes will be well planned with results oriented method and online tests. Their study materials is also good.

You also have other sites like eduncle and unacademy so you can try them too but according to me getting enrolled in GATEIIT will be the best decision.
