hi; Im yash and my question is- for iit jam eligibility; is 55% marks for ur required in b.sc or in HS also ?? is there any eligibility criteria for HS also or only in B.Sc ??

Sharon Rose Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2020

Hello,

The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM is that a candidate must have passed bachelor's with 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale. This is for candidates belonging to general category. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category it is 50% aggregate or 5.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale. So the marks scored in B.Sc is considered in your case. There is no minimum passing percentage required to score in HSC. But for each M.Sc, M.Sc-PhD program you must have studied required essential subject in 10+2 level.
