which college i can expect in jam maths. GEN EWS 1300 rank???plz give name of colleges???

Sharon Rose Student Expert 15th Apr, 2021

Hello,

If your query is regarding IIT JAM then here is the list of few institutes in which you have chances of getting seat based on your rank and the previous year cut off in round 3 CCMN counselling

  • NIT, Durgapur: 1367
  • NIT, Jamshedpur: 1634
  • NIT, Silchar: 1542
  • SLIET: 1679

These are the few institutes in which you may get seat in M.Sc Mathematics under EWS category. Also the cut off mentioned is for EWS category. But in 2021 the cut off is subjected to change depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and number of seats available etc.

To check the previous year cut off for CCMN counselling you can click on the link below

my SC certificate is of 2017 ? is it valid or i habe to get a new one ?? in iit jam admissions .

suchayitaanusaha 14th Apr, 2021

Hello,

Every caste certificate valid till 3 years in any State and for dental it valid only 1 year. So if you are applying for State admission then it's okay. But if you apply for all India counselling then I'll suggest you that you can renew your caste certificate. Or get new one. It's a better option.

All the best.

if a student do not qualify jam with score lower than cut off does he/she stand any chance to get any nit for msc???

anirudha vats 13th Apr, 2021

Hey,

The question I believe is framed wrong and that makes it difficult for me to understand and answer accordingly.

As far as I understand from your question No if you have not clear the cut off of your category in the Jam exam you won't get any NIT or IITs for Msc. Even if you have cleared the cut off still it will depend on your rank and marks .

Proper counselling takes place and the one above you if filled the whole seat you won't get one.

Hope you understand.

Thank you.

can i prepare for iit jam math in 1 month if I doing b.sc biology with no knowledge of math?

pdwords Student Expert 11th Apr, 2021

Hello,

First of all in order to appear for Msc or even for that matter integrated MSc-PhD in Mathematics, it's compulsory to have studies mathematics as a subject for at least two years or four semester in graduation degree, since you have done BSc life science and the combinations didn't have maths, so you're are not eligible for IIT JAM Mathematics Paper, even for Chemistry paper it's compulsory to have studied mathematics at 10+2 level, you can go for Biotechnology paper, and IIT JAM is for admission to prestigious institutes all over India, it  does require immense dedication, efforts, sincerity on the part of the candidate to qualify, and more so because in future either candidates go for academia or research, the demands to be in such career is quite different,
