Yes it is necessary to do offline verification of your category documents you have chosen for.

The centers will be alloted to you rankwise before your couselling begin which will be different colleges

and you have to visit those colleges wherer your offline verification of category will be done and

Since you haev scored a decent rank but your domicile is outside Delhi so you have to wait for the second cutoff to be released as there is no continuos trend followed So in second cutoff you can get a rough  idea about the ranking and your rank

If you fall in general category then with the rank you're mentioning you can check out these colleges under IPU

But you can try your luck on spot round whoch happens after the 3 rounds are over or in

Your IPU CET rank 17567 for BBA is not much bad so you are eligible to get admission in IPU. There are many colleges offering admission under rank 18000

Inderjeet, it seems very difficult for you to get admission in IPU through CLAT. This is based on your rank and previous year cutoffs.

But again it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper.
