is the obc non creamy layer certificate should be of Maharashtra only or of the state where the student is domicile ?

Ayush 16th Nov, 2020

Hi Candidate,

The OBC certificate is needed for getting the 27 percent of the reserved seats which are reserved for its category students. The OBC NCL Category is valid for all groups which comes under the Non- Creamy Layer groups which comes under different states and regions.

It is not necessary that you have to get the domicile's OBC certificate only but all states which have Backward Groups consisting of Non Creamy Layer are eligible for it.

Hope that you have got your answer!!
