But he can get mechanical or civil easily with this rank.

Hi, according to your rank in pessat you can easily get any branch in pessat , Bangalore south campus. The previous years cutoff has gone around 1000 rank for computer science engineering. Coming under 500 in any competition is a great achievement.You can now get whatever branch you want. Well done

you can get admission in branches like CIVIL, Mechanical, Bio-Tech where the closing rank was 8000 as per previous details. So it may have changed this year.  the same goes for CORE branch like ECE and EEE. It will be difficult to get CSE. So, Apply for other branches other than CSE.

it is difficult to give details as it is such a long list.

Yes counsliing is held at the same time and you can give both the colleges as option during the counselling.

We cannot tell it for sure the exact no. of students but every year around 16k-17k students appear for the PESSAT exam.

According to previous years cut off analysis below i am mentioning probability of getting / not getting a certain branch based upon previous years cut off rank, though cut off ranks vary from one year to another and are subjective depending upon current years paper difficulty level, no of candidates applying etc, so estimated cut off's may go up or down.

• for cse cut off rank generally lie between 800-900 in round 2 so you have no-meagre chances
• for ece you are almost on borderline of getting/not getting ece since cut off rank goes between 1500-1600
• for ee you have high-sure chances of getting ee as cut off goes around 2000
• you can easily get mechanical , civil , biotech cut off goes around 3000

yes you can get an admission in main campus but for CSE the chance is low as the closing rank is below 1k.

you have high chances in CIVIL,Mechanical and Biotech Engineering as the closing rank is 3k.

for Core Branches like ECE and EEE you also have chance as the closing rank is 2k.

even you can't get a cse branch you can read it in your free time if you are interested in that field.

At this rank,I am sorry but you won't even be called for the counselling as far as I know. I hope you would have written KCET or COMEDK,if you have then try other colleges. 

P.S PES accepts KCET scores also and the fee is even lesser through KCET. Hope this helps!

Dear candidate, I am sorry to state that your PESSAT rank would be insufficient to get admission in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
