PES Scholastic Aptitude Test
Hi Vishnu,
Heartly congratulations to you for securing that amazing rank. You would obviously get CSE in the main campus, ofcourse. Surprised? Check these details I could get some data for you from the official sites. For CS branch the cut-off is around 850 to 900(in 2nd round which is the final round)
For EC it is about 1500(2nd round)
For EE it is about 2000(2nd round)
And it goes up to 3000 for all the other streams like civil, mechanical and bio tech.
At PES, they recognize and honor only those students with scholarships who showcase their merit after joining and not before that.If a student is among the top 20% of his/her class in terms of CGPA for a particular academic year, then he/she will get a tuition fee waiver of 30% for the next academic year of study. Rs.8 crore per annum in merit scholarships given to students.
Best wishes!
In 2019, a closing rank of 5159 secured a seat in ECE Branch. This was approximately 3500 ranks different than 2018 cut off rank which was 1646. Now these are previous years cut offs and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates who appeared for the exam, no.of seats available, difficulty of the exam and the previous trends. But going by the previous years trends, with a rank of 4260 you have decent chances in ECE Branch.
Hello,
Yes there is chance of getting CSE in this college.
But you can get this branch in 2nd,3rd Or last round only.
But every year this scenerio changes so there is no certainity for this.
There are different rounds in the counselling session and it works like this:
1)If all the seats are not filled in round 1 then it goes to round 2 and so on .
2)Also if a particular student changes his mind after round 1 and doesn’t take seat then that seat is available in round2.
So it works like this.
All the Best
Your PESSAT rank is suitable for getting CSE branch in main Campus as per the previous years cutoff.
But you can only get it in 2nd 3rd and latter rounds.
Also this scenerio changes every year so there is no certainty for this.
You can check previous years cutoff to get a better idea.
According to previous years cutoff you can get mechanical or civil and other branches only with this rank .
Getting CSE or Ece branch is very hard in any of the rounds.
This scenerio changes every year and for better idea you can check previous years cutoff.

Hello, Danush. Kcet is the best way for you to get good colleges but your chance of getting top 3 colleges is less. You can get CSE in university visvesvaraya engineering college, dr. Ambedkar college of engineering,BMS engineering college and dayananda sagar engineering college in the first round of counselling. All the best!
In 2017, cse cutoff for first round was in 870s.
In the second round, it was 1000. So you have a tiny window, where you may get cse in the second round.
Rest all other branches you can get in first round itself.
Hope you got the answer you are looking for thank-you.
According to previous years cutoff you can easily get bio tech branch with this rank.
You have high chances of getting this branch in 1st round itself for main Campus.
But this scenerio can change and there is no certainty for this.
You can check previous years cutoff to get better idea.

Dear Aspirant, at first I congratulations for this result. With this result you can go for Computer Science engineering also but you have to wait for 2nd or 3rd round counceling. But in first round you can get any other streams also.
Thank you. Best of luck.
Hey Vinodini
Thanks for your query. Your rank is a bit too high for CSE that is 3358. You can attend further counselling rounds because there surely are some chances to secure a CSE seat. It's not that the chances are null. You definitely should give it a shot because it's worth it.
Thanks
