PES Scholastic Aptitude Test
Hello Anil Kumar Dsouza
Most probably you will not get it. You have a very slim chance. Do come for the counselling, you may get lucky.
Very hard to tell cause last year it was somewhere around 1100 , Though there is a increase in the number of available seats ,there is an increase in demand . I would suggest you to take EC and later get a dual degree in CSE.Else if u have other options available then go for it or you can take minors in CSE or study hard the first year and change your branch(though i will not recommend it). Best of Luck!!!
Though you can get ECE.
Hope that answers the question
According to previous years cut off analysis for pessat you have chances of getting ee(on borderlines cut off rank acc to previous years analysis ranges between 2000-2500) , mechanical and civil at pes (cut off rank upto 3000) through pessat , from comedk you have probable chances of getting ece(cut off rank 2342) and me (cut off rank between 3500-4500) though these cut off ranks are subjective and nothing can be predicted as it generally depends on current years paper difficulty level and no of candidates applying etc , also acc to previous years cut off you have chances of getting seat at pes so definitely it is worth attending.
Hello,It will be difficult to get an admission in Mechanical Engineering as it's closing rank is 4000. Still any thing can happen this year. you should apply for counselling and wait until last round. If you have any reservation quota then that would have help you.
If you have given any other exam then you should apply for counselling for other colleges. It's difficult to get but may be possible this year. Have Hope!
Good Luck!
Vishnu, in PES University for CSE branch the rank goes up at max up to 900 after the last round. Beyond that the branch closes for admission.
And for admission in any branch in the university, rank must be within 3k.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
Hope this helps!
All the best!
Hey Jason
Thanks for your query. Congratulations for your result. You can take a seat in IT in BMS. IT has much more placement record as compared to EC. At the same time you can also wait for CS in PES because it is the best option out of three. And you have a strong chance of getting CSE because it usually closes at 1500 in PES University.
All the best for future. Please upvote.
Hi Neha,
Thanks for your query. The competition is very stiff in getting colleges like PESIT. I would still like to share some facts with you from previous year details. For CS branch the cut-off is around 850 to 900(in 2nd round which is the final round.
For EC it is about 1500(2nd round)
For EE it is about 2000(2nd round)
And it goes up to 3000 for all the other streams like civil, mechanical and bio tech.
Only the first 5000 rankers are called for the 1st round of counselling. So you may be called in the 2nd round, which is also not a guarantee.
You can check other colleges as well. You can ask your queries here,if any doubt arises. Best wishes!
Hi ,
So the details of pessat admission and counselling are provided in this link.
The first round cutoff for cse in pessat was 920 in 2018 and ece was 1500 . Candidates are competing for admission to 3300 seats in PES university. So you can imagine how tough it is to secure a desired branch like cse with a rank of 2700 in the first round allocation .
You can get branches like Biotechnology, civil or mechanical with this rank by the second or last round .
The category wise cutoffs are provided in this link.
