Hello,
NISER along with UM-DAE CEBS has postponed the announcement of NEST 2020 result to October 12. The results for NEST 2020 will be declared day after tomorrow in the official website. The result of NEST 2020 contains a total number of candidates who appeared for the examination along with their marks scored. The merit list of NEST 2020 will be released after the announcement of the results in online mode.
The exam pattern for NEST is as follows -
All the questions in NEST 2020 are multiple-choice questions where the candidates have to choose one correct option out of the four options given.
In section II of the NEST question paper, the candidates are given the questions which carry one or more correct answers. Candidates have to mark all the correct answers.
In section 1 of the NEST question paper 2020, there will be no negative marking. However, in other sections, there will be negative marking about which the candidates will be notified.
Section to section V contains questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Candidates can attempt as many NEST questions as they can but during the calculation of the NEST result , the marks of the best three subjects are taken into consideration.

Hello dear student,
To qualify the eligibility criteria to appear in nest 2020 exam. Candidate need to complete their 10+2 exam from a recognised board.
Also candidate must need to have mathematics as a subject in their class 12th while the other three subjects are physics chemistry biology or life sciences. so as you asked you belong from non biology stream but looking at the eligibility criteria it is clear student must need to come from a biology background and they must have mathematics India class 12th otherwise they are not eligible.
There are many other criterias also other than these but as you are specifically asked for the above I have mentioned above only.
Thank you

As per your marks in National Eligibility Screening Test, your rank will be around 20,000-25,000. As the number of candidates are more and seats are less in National Eligibility Screening Test score accepting colleges, so there are likely to be no chances to get admission. Check CAREERS360 portal to get more information about the best college offering your preferred course.
Thank You!

Dear aspirant,
The last year cutoff rank of NEST for general category was around 350. So yes, you do have a chance of getting admission in NISER or CEBS. Usually the seats go vacant , so I suggest you stay till second/third round of counseling.
For further details you can visit the official website of the colleges.
Regards!!
The cutoff for the mentioned institute was around 400 according to the data available of the previous years, So with 386 marks it would be difficult for you to get an seat in the mentioned college.
You could also use our college predictor tool to get a list of colleges you have chances to secure a seat in regard with your marks scored and category in the link below
