Could you give the information about the iit jam exam and preparation tips

IIT JAM is a national level examination organized to offer admission into M.Sc. (four semesters), M.Sc. Ph.D., and M.Sc. Ph.D. dual degree etc. programmes at IITs. The admission is offered to the Indian nationals as well as foreign national candidates. Students qualifying this entrance test can apply for admission into these courses in various renowned colleges of the country.

JAM is one of the toughest paper and therefore must be dealt with care.firstly aware yourself of the syllabus of the JAM, then Make a timetable and follow it religiously. Solve previous year questions to see your improvements.

Hello,

If you asking regarding the language in which IIT JAM is held, then it's only held in English.

There are seven objective-type test papers in IIT JAM: Chemistry (CY), Physics (PH), Mathematics (MA), Geology (GG), Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Biotechnology (BT).

The entire paper will be divided into three sections in which Section A will contain 30 questions, Section B will contain 10 Questions and Section C will contain 20 questions.

Negative marking is applicable only for section A.

As for the negative marking, for each wrong answer in the 1 mark question, 1/3 marks will be deducted and for 2 marks questions, 2/3 marks will be deducted.

No marks will be deducted for un-attempted questions.

Each paper will have 60 questions for a total of 100 marks.

why biological sciences is abrupt in IIT jam exam

Hello there!

Greetings!

As per the official, Biological Science subject has been removed from the JAM test schedule , no reason for this has been released officially so nothing can be said regarding why it has been removed  but you can go for msc Biotechnology through iit jam as any branch or subject is eligible for msc Biotechnology . To be eligible Candidates need 55% while students belonging from SC/ST category are required to obtain at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off. IIT Kanpur will conduct the JAM Exam 2020. It has made some changes in term of number of subjects and test schedule of the exam.This year, the exam will be organized in only six subjects.

  • Physics (PH)

  • Chemistry (CY)

  • Mathematics (MA)

  • Biotechnology (BT)

  • Mathematical Statistics (MS)

  • Geology (GG)

Hello,
You have to check the syllabus. If syllabus is same and prescribed books are same then yes you can able to crack it with one preparation.
If boos are different then you have to read those books as many questions comes from books only.
This is on your part to check the syllabus and if any variation I'd there then you have to prepare those additional sections and books too.

Hello Srishti, If you are not notified about anything, then that most probably means that your signature has been accepted, you will only get a notification in case your signature doesn't match this time too. Your application might get rejected if you fail to clear the discrepancies in multiple tries.
