for more informatin and full details refer to: https://university.careers360.com/exams/jam
hope this helps,
thankyou.
Hi Priyanshi,
The application form of JAM 2022 needs qualifying degree and discipline of qualifying degree. Fill BSc in qualifying degree that you must know already. I suppose it should do if you fill ZBC or zoology, botany ,chemistry in the discipline of qualifying degree as yours is a multidisciplinary. They have not given any dropdown list in this case so I suppose its for multidisciplinary students like you so that you can just type it in. I hope your application form is accepted without any glitch or if you face any error or glitch in applying even after this which I think should not be try getting in touch with the concerned people of IIT JAM which I suppose is IIT Roorkee through their help center or email id they must have given to help clarify doubts as they are the best people who can clarify your doubts regarding the process.
Hope this helps.
All the best.
Dear aspirant,
As per the information given on the official website of IIT JAM, you are eligible to take admission in MSc Astronomy in IIT Indore provided that you have studied physics for 6 semesters and Mathematics for atleast 2 semesters. As of now, no information has been released whether IITs provide a separate course in Astrophysics so you can consider other universities for your desired course.
Hope this helps!
Hi nilesh,
The syllabus of IIT Joint admission test(JAM) for Physics which I got from the official website consists of 7 topics. One of the topic is mathematical methods. JAM 2022 will be conducted by IIT Roorkee and it is said they have done some changes in the syllabus so check it out. Now the syllabus of 12th grade maths differs for each board. I am going to take reference from NCERT 12th maths textbook which is highly recommended for competitive exams and I would personally suggest it too. Now after comparing both syllabus of IIT Jam Physics and NCERT maths book, the topics which needs the most attention is Algebra i.e matrices and determinants, Calculus i.e integrals, derivatives and differential equations and Vectors excluding the 3 dimensional geometry. Starting from 12th board seems a good strategy and I hope your hard work pays off. I hope you got the answer you were looking for if not please l et me know.
All the very best.

Thankyou!
See pursuing an MSc from an IIT will obviously add more value to your career compared to that of DCA course. See if you are interested in programing also then you can obviously pursue the course of MSc Mathematics and Computing which has some really good prospect ahead and if you can pursue the field then not only you can go for research but you can also go for coding jobs as well as some interesting parts such as Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, AI work profiles. So if you ask me the best career choice you can have then I would recommend you to prepare for IIT JAM.
