Sir, I havegot 94% in class 10, 65% in class 12 and my UG is still going on. Is there any chance of getting my admission IIMs. Im also trying to increase my CVs Please solve my queries...

Shivang Dubey 29th Jun, 2020

Hey Subham

Predicting your Selection in IIMs is not possible with the data. One should have a good score in Academics and Undergraduate, also the points depend on how much you score in CAT, your performance in Interview/WAT and any work experience. Certain IIMs given particular weightage to academics, for example: IIM Ahmedabad gives 10% each to academics.

Therefore you must score good in your Undergraduation and clear CAT with excellent scores like 99+ percentile which will definitely increase your chances of selection. For further doubts, ask us.

I got 54% in class 12 can I eligible for NDA 2020 or not

S. Saha Student Expert 29th Jun, 2020
There is no minimum percentage barrier to be eligible for NDA. You just need to qualify 10+2 from a recognized board for Army wing, and 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics for Air Force and Naval wing. As there is no minimum percentage, you are eligible for NDA. http://competition.careers360.com/articles/nda-eligibility-criteria/amp

I have scored 69% in class 12 from UP Board 2020 snd want to give JEE mains and advance 2021. If I will give improvement exam in one subject in 2020 then Ill be eligible for JEE?? or my selection will be based on top 20 percentile list?? and if based on top 20 percentile then there is any problem?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Jun, 2020

To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate criteria. But if you want to join NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% only in your 12th. 11th marks aren't considered. And then to appear for JEE Advanced which is the gateway for admission to IITs, you will need to fulfill the 75% aggregate condition. Now it is 75% for General Category and 65% for Reserved Categories. So how much you score in 12th is what matters to secure your eligibility for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and JEE Advanced. You can appear for improvement exams and be eligible for JEE Mains and Advanced. So you needn't worry about it. If your goal is NITs, IIITs,  CFTIs and IITs then you need to score 75%. Or else 69% is good enough for appearing for JEE Mains. But yes for JEE Advanced, you have to appear for Improvement exams. Now JEE Mains is held twice in a year, once in January and again in July. If you are planning on appearing for these 2 exams in 2021, for now stick to NCERT books as the 2021 syllabus is going to be reduced. Either 75% in your 12th or top 20 percentile in your Boards, one of them is considered for checking the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced.

will CBSE board decision of cancellation of class 12 exams give effect on NIOS BOARD students also ?? will NIOS follow CBSE Decision and cancell NIOS BOARD exams and promote students as CBSE did??

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Jun, 2020

CBSE and NIOS are 2 different bodies and have 2 different guidelines. In CBSE, you attend School regularly. But with NIOS, you either have weekend classes because it is an open School. Those students who have completed all their CBSE exams will be assessed based on their performance in the exams. Those who appeared for more than 3 or more subjects the average of the marks secured in the best of the 3 will be given to those subjects for which exams have not been conducted. And those students who have written just 1 or 2 subjects, the results will be declared on the  basis of their internal, practical or project assessments for the subjects they haven't written the examinations.  And if students want to appear for the exams, they can do so when they are conducted. And NIOS has scheduled its exams in the month of August and it is too early to talk about NIOS exams cancellation. So we need to wait atleast untll July is over. But please keep checking the official website for more information.

Hello,

Unfortunately you are not allowed to give improvement exam for on subject. You will have to appear for all the subjects in the improvement exam and then only your marksheet will be accepted by JEE.Onu must have secured 75% marks in 12th board for being eligible for admission into IITs,NITs,IIITs and CFTIs.
