The Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal will launch the West Bengal Decentralised Admission Portal admission (WBDAP 2026) today, on September 3. The official portal for WBDAP 2026 is dap.wbcap.in. The WBDAP 2026 will be conducted in two phases. Aspirants can also check the available seats on the portal. Students who could not get admission through WBCAP can apply for decentralised admission from September 3 to 5.

Students who have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board are eligible to apply for WBDAP admission 2026. However, minimum marks required for admission is determined by the concerned university. Both fresh applicants and students who have previously applied for WBCAP 2026 are eligible to apply for decentralised admission.

Fresh Applicants: Candidates who missed registering or applying during the initial Centralised Admission Portal (CAP) rounds.
Unallotted CAP Candidates: Students who registered on CAP but did not secure a seat in any phase. Phase 1 Participants (for Phase 2): Applicants who registered during Phase 1 of decentralised admission and remain unadmitted or want to try for updated vacancies.
Class 10+2 Qualified Students: Anyone who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent exam meeting the subject and minimum aggregate percentage rules of the specific university/college.
Reserved Category Candidates: Eligible SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS, and PwD applicants with valid, authentic caste/category certificates.
Students can fill out the WBDAP application 2026 on September 3. The last date to submit WBDAP application 2026 is September 5. There is no application fees for WBDAP admission 2026. The West Bengal Decenetralsied application process 2026 will be conducted from September 11 to 13, for phase 2.

Register / Log In: Fresh candidates must create a new profile, while existing Centralised Admission Portal (CAP) candidates can log in using their credentials.
Check Vacant Seats: Check the institution-wise seat matrix to verify remaining vacant seats and course availability.
Enter Details & Upload Documents: Fill in academic, personal, and reservation details, and upload all required testimonials. The entire process is completely free of charge.
Submit and take printed copies: Submit the form online and download the system-generated acknowledgement receipt containing your unique application number.

The WBDAP seat matrix will be released on September 3. Students can check WBDAP vacant seats 2026 on the DAP portal. The department updates the number of seats as per the report issued by the concerned institutions. Candidates are advised to check the WBDAP seats 2026 before applying. The WBDAP seat matrix 2026 will be released on September 11 for round 2.
The WBDAP merit list 2026 will be released on September 7. Students can log into the official portal at dap.wbcap.in to check their WB UG merit list 2026. The WBDAP merit list 2026 will be released in two rounds. The WBDAP merit list 2026 will be released on September 15 for round 2.
The DHE West Bengal will release the WBDAP phase 1 seat allotment 2026 on September 7. The WB seat allotment list is created for each college based on the applicants' merits and preferences for WBDAP admission.
Candidates are required to visit the official website and login using their credentials to check the WBDAP 2026 allotment. To lock their allotted seat, candidates need to pay the fee and freeze it within September 7 to 8. Candidates can also withdraw their admission to the allotted seat in a particular duration. The WB decentraised allotment 2026 for phase 2 will be released on September 15.
Students whose names appear in WBDAP allotment 2026 are required to participate in the document verification process, which will be held from September 7 to 9 for round 1. During this time, students are required to visit the concerned institution in person and verify al their documents. Then, they are required to pay the admission fees to secure their seats.
