The West Bengal Department of Higher Education started the National Curriculum and Credit Framework (NCCF) for 4-year undergraduate programmes. With the introduction of 4-year UG programmes in all government/aided Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in the state, admissions for UG programmes will be conducted online in a standalone mode.
The centralised Admission Portal will be modified to accommodate institution-level admission rules, subject combinations, and fee structures. The implementation of the NCCF and the introduction of 4-year UG programmes aim to enhance the quality of education in West Bengal. The department is committed to providing an efficient admission process for aspiring students. The WBCAP admission portal will accept the application where candidates will need to submit their personal details such as name, contact number and email id etc in order to register. After that, they will have to submit their academic records such as Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates, based on which their WBUG 2026 merit list will be prepared.
