Up c a t e t is the exam of Uttar Pradesh combined agriculture and Technology entrance test that is taken for admission in different courses of Agriculture and Technology in the states of Uttar Pradesh. This exam is held once in a year in the state of Uttar Pradesh for admission in Agriculture and Technology. The entrance test  is taken on the basis of 12th class syllabus and the NCERT books are very helpful in this entrance test to be successful.

All interested candidates must be a citizen of India as well as the Resident of Uttar Pradesh (UP) . The term 'Resident of Uttar Pradesh' means a candidate, must have passed the qualifying examination from UP and have been living in the state for the past 5 years, or any of the following criteria.

So, if you meet the above eligibility criteria then you can apply for phd through UPCATET exam.
