Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that all three forms of registration in PES university are not much difference. They all get you Admitted you in PES university but they have some basic difference that I will list them below ;
Registration through "Btech" : This means that you are getting admitted into the PES university getting only Btech courses ( like Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical etc) either by private interview or by giving the University level exam required for getting Btech related courses.
Registration through "Btech ( JEE mains candidates only ) : This type of registration is only for JEE mains candidates only. This means those candidates who have cleared their JEE mains examination and have scored decent marks in JEE mains examination.
Registration through Diploma Lateral Entry : This registration is for diploma students who have the diploma degree in btech courses. The admission in this category can be done only through lateral admissions. For lateral admission check the belwo article : https://www.careers360.com/courses/b-tech-lateral-entry
I hope that this will help.
Yes, you can get admission in PES University, Bangalore with PESSAT or KCET score if you do not get seat admission with one of the scores you may get admission based on the other exam (PESSAT/KCET/JEE Main) score. To apply for admission to B.Tech course you must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biotechnology with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. To apply for admission based on PESSAT/KCET/JEE Main score you need to first register in the portal using the link given below

To participate in counselling for admission based on PESSAT and JEE Main score you need to apply separately for B.Tech and B.Tech (JEE).

Hello priyanshu ,
Since you've not mentioned your quota/category , I am considering you belong to the general category .
So , considering a general category , it is a pretty good and well that you've scored such a good rank in pessat . I think that there are a good number of chances that you might get a seat in PES university in CSE branch .
As in last few years , the cutoff trend was around 1500 , so considering your 1440 rank in pessat , you might get your desired branch in PES University .
You can also check your admission chances in other colleges on the basis of your rank/percentile with the help of college predictor tool , here :

If your rank is with in the required cut off rank then you will get in CSE. PES University will conduct 2nd round of PESSAT 2021 counselling on November 13 & 14. Candidates are advised to choose as many choices as possible to maximize their chances of admission. During the second round counselling of PESSAT 2021, KCET/COMEDK qualified candidates will be able to apply for admissions by registering for Casual Vacancy admissions.
