Akhil, in my opinion VIT is better than PES in CSE.

In PES the average  job package is 4.5 LPA, while in VIT it is 6 LPA.

PES has 90%placements, while VIT has 100%.

Faculty and infrastructure of VIT is excellent and top recruiters like Google, Amazon and Intel come here for jobs.

But you should yourself take a close look at these colleges and then decide, these are just my opinions.

Varun, it seems really difficult for you to get admission in PES University.


Usually they stop taking students for admission after 3k rank in the final round. But it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper. So you can still give it a try.

for what the rank you secured in PESSAT exam you might get seat in Bio-technology department in the 2nd round of the counselling. and also for the rank you secured that is the only choice you gave .you might dont get a seat in CSE,ECE because their cut off is 390 .

Be brave you can better in other exams Believe in yourself

The possibility of getting a seat in PESSAT Quota in CSE is very slim for PESU main Campus

EC Campus its a very high possibility

the fees is 3,20,000/ Year

Hey hi you have to wait till 4 to 5 counseling rounds to get admission in pesit . As you must have ranked between 1-2000 you could have easily make it up to pesit but surely you must wait till end counseling rounds you may get there .all the best

PES is quite a popular and esteemed college/university and CSE is quite demanding there. People getting CSE there doesnot generally surrender their seats easily.

So, with this rank getting CSE/ISE would be quite difficult as the cutoff somewhere lies around 700 for these branches.

So, with these rank, This would be tough to judge as 3400 is just outside last year's cut offs. But you can get a civil seat and many people surrender their seats after the academic year starts and many mechanical seats get left out and there is a great chance you will secure a mechanical seat by the end of 1st semester.

No site or PESSAT office websit give the last year cutoff so we check where you get the seat or not ,But its a low rank accourding to me for a seat in PESSAT.

CSE - Closing rank 920; ECE - Closing rank somewhere around 1500. according to some student i get last year cutoff.

The Candidates who get the rank between 1 and 1500 will be called first.

The candidates who get the rank between 1501 and 2500 will be called the second time
The candidates who get the rank Between 2501 and 3750 will be called the third time
The candidates who get the rank between 3751 and 5000 will be called the fourth time
Candidates who have the rank of more than 5000 will be called for 2nd counselling which be held at the end of June and July Maybe.

I am sorry to inform you that you won't be getting eee stream. It is because the closing rank at the second round will itself be around 2200. So the chances of getting eee is null. But there is lots of assurance that you will be getting civil or mechanical. Dont lose hope.
