With 3000 rank you might get BIOTECH in PES University. Because EEE closes at around 2400 rank in second round of counselling. SO yes, there is a chance of getting biotech branch. Feel free to ask further queries.

Hello Harine, You won't get CSE and ECE Branches because the cutoff for category A(fees is 90,000) and category b(fees is 2,80,000) is very low. Category A cutoff was 1600 through category B and around 300 for category A. you can get ECE through category B. but if you think the fees are high you can take other branches like mech and civil in category A.

As per the previous years cutoff you can expect electrical and electronics,mechanical,etc with this rank.

 But Getting computer science with this rank is very tough pes university 

But every year cutoff changes as the level of paper changes and many other factors change,so there is no certainty for this.

       By comparing the last few years' cut off marks, the branches which will fit best for this rank is Mechanical and Bio-Tech. There are very fewer chances of getting Mechanical engineering too because almost all seats of other branches fills up up to 4k rank.

Your marks may be written in the form of points out of 10. Here you have not provided the complete information. If your points are declared in the form of point scale then go through your result there is some mentioning about the conversion og points into percentage. And go through the website of PES. There you can get the information about the uploading of your result. In your marksheet if you got CGPA or CPI then it can be converted into percentage as (CGPA or CPI - 0.50*10. Check this in the backside of your result's hardcopy also.
