PES Scholastic Aptitude Test
Hello,
As per the previous years cutoff you can expect electrical and electronics, mechanical, etc with this rank.
Getting computer science with this rank is very tough .
But every year cutoff changes as the level of paper changes and many other factors change,so there is no certainty for this.

Hi there,
Heartly congratulations to you for securing that amazing rank! Please attend the 2nd round of counselling, you still have a good chance in bagging CSE at this college. Check these details I could get some data for you from the official sites. For CS branch the cut-off is around 850 to 900(in 2nd round which is the final round). There is a lot of stiff competition this year in bagging admissions at this college so the cutoffs would obviously vary. I would never advise you giving college a higher priority over branch so,all I can say is keep your fingers crossed orelse, you can even check the south campus as well. Keep yourself highly updated with the cutoffs everyday. Best wishes!
Hey! Since you got rank more than 5000. You are not eligible for the first round of counselling. Hence you'll have to attend the second round of counselling which will be held at the end of June and July maybe. Also since it has fixed seats the closing rank of even mechanical is around 5000. Though you can try but the chances of your selection are very less. Don't get disheartened but there are various other college options too. Hope for the best.
Hi Animesh,
Heartly congratulations to you for securing that amazing rank. This came as a big shocker to me as well. Surprised! Check these details I could get some data for you from the official sites. For CS branch the cut-off is around 850 to 900(in 2nd round which is the final round). I would provide details of ECE as well.
For EC it is about 1500(2nd round). There is a lot of stiff competition this year in bagging CSE. I would never advise you giving college a higher priority over branch so,all I can say is keep your fingers crossed orelse, you can even check the south campus as well. Keep yourself highly updated with the cutoffs everyday. Best wishes!
Raghav,
You don't have to surrender seat. If you think you deserve better, then you can sit on 2nd round. Usually the list of the candidate are checked according to their rank and if they find any vacancy according to student's preference, they just slide him or her to the new branch. If there's no option, simply the branch will remain same.
Regards
Hii Shiva
I'm sorry to say, but you might not able to get any branch in PES university with that rank . Taking into consideration of past trends the general cutoff for seat allotment in PES based on PESSAT is around 6000.
All the best!
Congratulations to you for securing that amazing rank.Your son would obviously not get CSE in the main campus, ofcourse.Check these details I could get some data for you from the official sites. For CS branch the cut-off is around 850 to 900(in 2nd round which is the final round)
For EC it is about 1500(2nd round)
Your son would surely bag other branches like Civil,Mechanical and Biotech if interested. Else,I would advise to think of South campus ss well. Feel free to ask doubts,if any. Best wishes!
Savvy, it seems really difficult for you to get admission in PES University.
Usually they stop taking students for admission after 3k rank in the final round. But it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper. So you can still give it a try.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
Hope this helps!
Hello Adarsh!
considering your rank and previous year's statistics, its almost impossible for you to get mechanical engineering in PES college. Keep searching for other colleges. However wait for counseling process, it can be really unpredictable at times.
Hello Adarsh,
You scored decent rank enough to get admission in good M.E. Colleges. There are chances that you will get admission in PES College of Engineering based on your rank.
At the same time try applying for other colleges to be on the safer side.
Good Luck!
Hope it helps you.
For any further queries please feel free to comment.
Thank you.
