As per your query  I would glad to tell you that at this rank their are quite low odds of getting top streams like CSE and ECE but their are chances of getting EEE stream (electrical engineering). I would recommended to take this stream if he/she can work very hard on his coding skills because in EEE stream ,coding culture is low

it seems really difficult for you to get CSE branch in PES University. The branch closes in 850-900 rank in the second round, which is the final round.



Depending on your rank, you might have a chance of getting EEC branch.



Other than that, you can definitely get all the other branches which includes EE, Civil, Mechanical, BioTech etc. But it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper.

For PESSAT quota it'll be 3000 for biotechnology engineering.

According to last year's data it was 6039 state rank for general category. For 2019 it was

8484 and for 2018 it was 9655.

As you can see the cutoff is decreasing so you need to score lower rank. The rank below 600 is best for PES as it can give you scholarship too.
