I secured 502 rank in kiitee 2020 please tell me the best stream for this please🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Deblina Roy 30th Jul, 2020

Dear Student,

Like every year KIITEE gives so many rounds of counselling. May be there are four to five rounds of counselling. What is best for you it can be said only by you. Nowadays, the software companies have the new jobs but the core companies can not give the same salary like IT companies. Yes there are jobs in that streams too but most of the cases that is not satisfied for students. And so many companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Cognizant, Assencher etc gives a good amount of salary of the students as per their merit. As you have a very good rant then you will get each of the streams, now choice that you want.

Here I am giving a list of previous year cut off ranks,

  • Civil Engineering - 29689
  • Information Technology - 16614
  • Electronics & Instrumentation - 30415
  • Electronics and Telecommunication - 14233
  • Computer Science Engineering - 5044
  • Electrical Engineering - 24207
  • Electrical and Electronics - 20970
  • Mechanical Engineering - 11748
  • Automobile Engineering - 17648

The date for counselling 2020 is not declared now.

Thank You.

I got near 3000 Rank in KIITEE 2020, and sadly i have 61 % in 12th (PCM=45.6%), whether i will get admission in CSE, i dont want to ruin my future just because of my 12th percentage.

Kumari Shivani 30th Jul, 2020
Hi there,

These are the criteria for btech
Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in 2020,2019  are only eligible to apply for B.Tech(4 Years) course of the University.
Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together.
So you can get selected in kiitee, the companies also ask for 60% in 12 for placement , few companies ask for 70%.
However you have a real good rank, it depends on how you perform.
You can get selected on the basis of your rank. You can have any branch of your choice. It depends on the students response to college.

i got 3728 rank can i get cse in kiitee

AJAY KUMAR POLAVENI 30th Jul, 2020

hello there!

first of all congragulations on securing a good rank in kitte

As compared to previous year rank cut-offs for CSE stream is filled by 5k and this time you may have a little chance to get expected stream in KIIT if the demand for the stream or competition is not very high.

However, you can get IT which is pretty similar to CSE and same job offers and other branches like Computer science and system engineering or electronics and communication.

Good luck!

I got 1716 rank in kiitee , i want to know if i will be able to get a Tution Fee Waiver seat in CSE or IT because i will not be able to pay this much fees

Mainak Bhattacharyya 30th Jul, 2020

hello aspirant,

yes after you take admission in kiit , initially you have to pay their admission fees . once class started they must notify you about the scholarships and other facility for economically weak students . they has some process as being a private university they will not provide scholarships for all students . make sure you can pass their criteria for getting that scholarship . as competition is every where so many of your batchmate  will apply for that . If you passed that you will be able to gate that scholarship . not only that they also provide you some scholarship in the hostel fees but in that case also there will be some criteria which have to be fullfilled .some scholarships given by kiit are

1. tuition fee waiver scheme(tfw)

2. pradyumna bal  memorial scholarship

3. kiit poverty cum merit scholarship

4. kiit merit scholarship

5. technical assistance programme

6. kiit merit scholarship

you can view their website www.kiit.ac.in (//www.kiit.ac.in)

home >academics> scholarships and fellowships

thank you and best of luck.

i have ranked 85th in KIITEE 2020.will i be able to get BCA.

G VIJAYALAKSHMI 30th Jul, 2020

Dear candidate

First  of all congratulations for getting 84th rank in KIITEE 2020 which is not easy and you must have struggled a lot to achieve it so, as you asked you will be able to get a seat in BCA as the cutoff for BCA will be around 900 or below and the cutoff in the previous year 2019 is 925 and this year too it will be around that so, with 84th rank you sure can get a seat in BCA visit the below mentioned link for knowing cutoff trends of other courses

i m a obe candidate ng my general rank is 7445 at kiitee .can i get cse?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 30th Jul, 2020

Helo Rahul

As far as I know the cutoff for general and obc are not that different while considering a seat in KIIT for CSE. Since the general cutoff is around 5400 the obe cytoff will be somewhere around 6000 (maybe upto 6500) hence I think your chances of getting cse are slim. However if you do not  get the branch of your choice, that is cse,  you may apply for changing your branch after first year provided your CGPA is 8.5 or higher.
