The closing rank for ST category goes to as high as 970-980 ST Category rank. Also for a GENERAL category student, the closing rank for IIT Palakkad is 9,252.

So for 6679 ST rank, it is obvious enough as to why an ST student couldn't get into the college.

NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates, who are interested in applying for the undergraduate design and fashion technology courses, can check the prescribed eligibility criteria of NIFT admission 2019 below:

Maximum age-23 years as on October 1, 2018. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of five years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently Abled Person (PHP).

Educational qualification- Aspirants must have cleared the +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.

NIFT Exam Pattern 2019

The written test of NIFT 2019, Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) evaluate the test-takers’ knowledge, abilities and design aptitude. Candidates seeking B.Des. admissions appear for both- CAT and GAT, while those looking for admission in B.F.Tech programme take GAT only. Moreover, the candidates shortlisted after CAT and GAT had to appear for situation test as well.

Exam Pattern of NIFT 2019 Creative Ability Test (CAT) for Bachelor of Design

This test judges the intuitive ability, observation power in concept development and design ability of the test-takers. An important aspect is to evaluate the creative and innovative use of colour and illustration skills.

it is for sure that every iit does not have msc genetics program . i have heard about iit delhi and iit chennai offers msc genetics but i am not that sure about what other eligibility criterias they recquire

it would be better for you to go though the official websites of these iits and check the courses offered there .

i dont think you can get the chance of admissions in any of the iits . i am predicting this on the basis of previous years cutoffs so minute changes  can happen this year but still your chances are less.there is also less chances of getting an NIT .try other colleges also like JNU or DU And wait for the cutoff list off iit jam
