After doing M.sc from IIT from mathematics there are lots of job and research opportunities.If you are doing M.sc from applied mathematics then there will be research based work.If you are doing M.sc form statistics then there are lots of companies come in the college for placement to hire statistician for analytics role .

actually the syllabus a changed a bit but not that much . i think solving previous year paper is quite usefull and rather i will say it is important as well to solve the previous years papers . i will suggest you to buy arihants previous years IIT JAM solved papers as i found it quite useful .especially focus on last 4-5 years questions as syllabus had changed very less or minute in that time .also solving them will give you the list of important formulas and concepts

i hope your are quetioning about jam exam. IIT JAM is a computer based online examination . there is no option of pen paper based paper . students have to give the exam online in one of the two slots of the day and then a merit list gets released from which accordingly you can go for any iit nit or iisc etc

After securing a decent score in IIT JAM examination, one can pursue MSc in biological sciences from Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).
Currently, there are 4 IITs which provides MSc in biological sciences. These are.
IISc Bangalore even provides a higher degree of PhD in biological sciences after MSc through the appropriate score.
The previous year cutoff for this was about 17.50 for general category students.

Candidates who have completed their BSc degree can apply for IIT JAM. The common eligibility for IIT JAM is: -
IIT JAM 2020 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign).
There is no age restriction. i.e. there is no IIT JAM Age Eligibility, regardless of your current age you can apply for JAM.
The candidates who have either appeared or are due to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2020 are also eligible to appear in the test.
IIT JAM conduct in seven subjects: -

For MSc Physics, you must have a Physics for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for a least one year/two semesters in your Bachelor's degree.
For Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Physics and M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Physics, you must have Physics for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for a least one year/two semesters in your Bachelor's degree.

The cut offs do change every year for IIT JAM. The qualifying marks In IIT JAM exam be 27 for MSC Chemistry. For you subject as chemistry this year the closing rank for first round is AIR 305. For the third round it is 318 i.e there is not much difference in the first and the final round. see there is many papers in iit jam, like physics, chemistry, micro biology, biotechnology, geology, mathematics, applied statistics, Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences, economics etc. you need to choose the subjects as per your degree course and eligibility.
The exam centres of JAM 2019 are divided as per the eight IIT Zones where the exams will be conducted. Candidates are given a chance to choose maximum three preferences .After the choice of exam centre is given the system will automatically detect the IIT Zone. The same has to be followed for the second and third preference.
