Yes definitely you can appear for joint admission for M. Sc as chemistry as your main subject. You don't have to worry about the fact that you belong to PCB in your class 12th, many student appears every year with chemistry having pcb as background.

The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM is a bachelor's degree with minimum 55% for OBC and general candidates and a minimum of 50% for SC or St candidates there is no eligibility criteria for class 12th so it does not matter whether you have done your class 12th with PCB or PCM .

You are eligible for IIT JAM if and only if you have passed your Bachelors Degree with the minimum qualified percentage as mentioned above

Here's the complete elogibileli criteria for giving IIT Jam:

• IIT JAM is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign).
• There is no age restriction. i.e. there is no IIT JAM Age Eligibility, regardless of your current age you can apply for JAM.
• To apply for admission to a desired program, you required to qualify in the corresponding Test Paper and also satisfy the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements (ERs) of the respective Academic Program. IIT JAM Courses and Eligibility is given below in the table.
• You should have appeared or are due to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree in are also eligible to appear in the test.
• You should have obtained B.Sc. degree through Distance Education/Correspondence Mode and are desirous of admission to M.Sc. Mathematics or M.Sc. Physics programmes of IIT Madras will have to appear for an additional interview.
• The qualifying examination must be passed with minimum 55% aggregate marks (in all subjects including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) without rounding off.
• If you belonging from SC/ST category are required to obtain at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off.
• In case of grading system/CGPA, the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute.

As you will be knowing that JAM which is conducted annually by different IIT’s. And candidates who clear the IIT JAM  Cutoff will be granted admissions on the institutes of their choice through the JAM counselling procedure.

Basically, cut off for IIT JAM is decided on the basis of the difficulty level of exam, number of vacancies available, total number of student appeared, previous year IIT JAM cut off and average marks obtained by candidates in IIT JAM.

• In Physics, qualifying marks for general category are 19.51 while for SC/ ST/ PWD, it is 9.76. For Physics Paper, 11902 candidates appeared for the exam.
• In Chemsitry, qualifying marks for General Category students are 14.79 and 7.39 for SC/ST/PWD. For Chemistry Paper of IIT JAM 2018, 11512 candidates appeared.
• In Mathematics, qualifying marks for General Category are 23.35 and 11.68 for SC/ST/PWD.

No iit jam paper is not available  in Hindi. This paper is only available in English. This examination is conducted for admission into various programmes like MSc, joint MSc, PhD etc. You can get admission in iits by this examination
