see most of the candidates in iits who are pursuing msc courses opt for phd or research fellowship or go for lecturer position in reputed college, as for your 1 year gap, i does not matter since mncs company permit 1 year gap between educations. now comig to placement it also depends on your skills, make good communication skills, ms excel, software skill  which are in your academic curriculum to land a good paying job.

Dear aspirant,

If by high salary you mean 30-40 lac per annum package then no you can not get those offers in any NIT below NIT Jaipur in the ranking. Moreover, those packages are offered only to the students of computer science field, and in no other field you can find even half of it.

So for good campus placements you have to join a top 5-6 NIT with Computer Science branch.

• Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine Surgery
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery
• Bachelor of Science in

Botany/Zoology/Chemistry
Nutrition and Dietetics
Biochemistry and many more streams.

• B. Pharmacy
• Bachelor of Physiotherapy
• Bachelor of Unani medicine and Surgery
• Bachelor of Arts in

Psychology

Sociology and many more streams.

All these courses have different admission criteria and are of different duration.

After 12th ,Across India lots of entrance test is offered by State board ,NTA and many others like if you wants to take admission in Engineering then Top entrance test JEE ,if you wants to take admission Undergraduate Medical course then NEET .So different course admission process is different and entrance test too .

But as per your query you not mention any entrance test  ,so it will difficult to answer for the same .

Joint Entrance Examination , Jee main score is accepted for admission to various B tech and Bachelor of Engineering courses.

Jee main exam is conducted twice in a year , in January and April. A candidate can attempt for 3 consecutive years ie 6 attempts.

Some institutions conduct their own entrance exam for admission to BE and B tech courses
