My niece done her O Level in UK with Bio Chem Math & Religious Studies. Wants to do medicine in India. But eligibility criteria for NEET is should have passed Eng Phy Bio Chem in 12th.Can she now appear only in Eng & Phy in Class 12 from any institution & become eligible for apprearing in NEET exam?

Tanay Kapoor 5th Sep, 2022

Hello,

To be eligible in NEET, you have to have passed all 4 physics, biology and chemistry (theory and practical) and english in 12th grade examination (equivalent to A level in UK not O level) without any exception.  So as long as PCB is passed in grade 12 candidate is eligible for NEET. Aggregate marks for PCB subjects in grade 12 should be a minimum of 50% for general category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PWD.

Hope this helps, for other queries you can ask here or directly contact the NTA or the institute you are attending itself.

As this govt. has decided not to take class 12 marks as imp. consideration for jee mains? So if I give jee mains exam in 2023 and I got 72 % in class 12 in 2022 , So can I get admission in NIT, IIT in 2023?

sharshit2306 29th Jul, 2022

Hey Rishi!

Jee is an individual body that conducts the examination of engineering and you get a chance to get admission in iits and nits. The eligibility criteria for the admissions so far is 75% in class 12th. And till date no such guidelines are issued. So stick to the original criteria itself.

So don't take it lightly and focus on both of them as they are equally important.

Hey student,

One has to pass in every individual subject and if one is failed in one subject then he/she has to give the compartment test and if he/she is fails in two or more subject then he/she has to repeat class 12th you can take your best 5 marks but you have to pass in all the subjects.

All the best student,

Hope this helps you.

I am pcb student of class 12.l got rt in chemistry.Due to my six subject.Result status is passed.I filled form for bsc zoology honours and entrance for bscbed by this result .I want also to give compartment exam for chemistry. If compartment result come and I passed , which result is right for me?

Neamah Fathima M R 29th Jul, 2022

Hi there,

If you have got RT in any subjects that means you have to repeat that theory.  As you mentioned you have got RT in chemistry. So you have to write compartment exam for chemistry and should pass in that subject.

For getting admission into any undergraduate courses the main eligibility criteria is you have to pass your 12th from a recognised board with minimum passing marks. Even though your overall results passed you still have to write compartment exam for the subjcet you failed.

The common eligibility criterion for pursuing B.Sc. Hons. in Zoology degree is qualifying 10+2 in science or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks obtained in Biology subject and in aggregate from a recognized board of the country.  hence after writing compartment exam if you have past you are completely eligible for applying for any undergraduate courses.

B.sc b.Ed is an 4 year undergraduate integrated course for candidates who are interested in teaching for pcb or pcm. If you are interested in BSC b.Ed than BSc zoology honours then you you can select that.

All the Best.

I got 84 percentile in jee mains 2022 from GEN-EWS and 70 percent in class 12 will i get admission in IET-DAVV .

jhasuyash006 25th Jul, 2022

Hello Suyash,

Congratulations for your result. Before predicting anything, first we need to calculate the exact rank. It is quite difficult to predict the exact rank as the trends changes every year because it depends on many factors like number of students appeared, shift, toughness, etc.

But we can predict your result based on the previous trends. With 84 percentile your EWS-AIR will be around 173725. You can verify your rank by using our rank predictor tool which is given below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

In order to get a seat in IET-DAVV, you need to score under 87000 to get civil branch at least.

If you want to check the list of colleges for which you are eligible, you can go through our college predictor link which is given below:
