CUET Exam Pattern 2024 Details

  • The CUET 2024 consists of four domain papers, one language paper, and one general test paper. Alternatively, they can opt for three domain papers, two language papers, and one general test paper. CUET total marks per subject will be 200.

  • If none of the options are found correct, a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five CUET total marks, according to the CUET UG exam pattern.

Is CUET MCQ Based?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Common University Examination Test (CUET) for undergraduate (UG) programmes every year in 4 sections, in hybrid mode. The CUET exam carries 200 marks for each section. The medium of the CUET question paper will be in 13 Indian languages. Important Points to Remember CUET 2024 Exam Pattern

  • A candidate can choose a maximum of 3 languages from Sections IA and IB taken together. (One of the chosen languages needs to be a domain-specific language)

  • In Section II, candidates can select a maximum of 6 Subjects from 27 available options.

  • Section III consists of the General Test.

  • A candidate can take a maximum of 10 test in the following manner - (To be updated as per recent changes)

  1. Maximum of 2 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together, maximum of 6 domain subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III.

  2. Maximum of 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together, maximum of 5 domain subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III.

  • According to CUET paper pattern, for choosing languages (up to 3) from Section IA and IB and a maximum of 6 subjects from Section II and General test under Section III, the candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended university. CUET maximum marks per subject will be 200.

  • Candidates should get the minimum number of marks out of the CUET full marks to pass the examination, according to the CUET question pattern.

  • The CUET exam total marks is 800.

The CUET exam paper 2024 is being held in three slots - morning, afternoon and evening as per the CUET UG exam pattern 2024. The CUET entrance test 2024 will be held from May 15 to 24. The students will not be allowed to appear in the same subject test again in a different slot.

  • Reach the CUET exam centre around 1.30 to 2 hours before the exam begins. Don’t leave it at the mercy of time and don’t take chances. You should expect the unexpected on the exam day that may include traffic logging, roadblocks, heavy rain, unexpected bad weather, delay in transportation, etc. It must also be kept in mind that in most cases, test takers are not allowed to enter the exam venue 30 minutes before the exam commencement, as the gates are closed 30 minutes before for ensuring the other formalities inside.

  • Make a double check of the documents mandatory on the exam day. Carry them with you without fail. This includes your CUET admit card hard copy and an authorised photo ID.

  • Have a sound sleep the night before to avoid any delays in getting up in time on the examination day.

  • As there is negative marking in CUET UG Total Marks, be extra careful not to attempt any answer incorrectly.

  • If possible, pay a visit to the examination centre in advance, a few days or a day before the examination to have a complete idea of the place so that you can save on time and stay hassle-free on the exam day.

This is a big mistake , how can you select a wrong board.  Anyways as correction window is closed , nothing  can be done now .

First thing don't be panic , think calmly , send a mail to official website of cuet .

If they are responding it is well and good . You won't face difficulty at the time of entrance exam but at the time of counseling this issue can create a great problem.

If you are not getting response to your mail , you woll have to go to venue of cuet . Any how you will have to solve this issue otherwise your one year time will get wasted.
