Please note that graduates of the BA Liberal Arts Programme at Cotton University are eligible to seek admission to postgraduate programs in their respective specialized subjects (core subjects studied from the 3rd Semester) as well as other relevant subjects that require an IJG degree from multiple disciplines. This applies to those who wish to be considered for admission under the Open Category.
If a candidate intends to apply for admission to more than one postgraduate subject or program (provided they meet the necessary qualifications), they must complete the online application process separately for each subject or programme. It is important to note that the schedule for CPGEE 2025 will not be modified in the event of conflicting dates and times for entrance examinations for candidates applying to multiple postgraduate programs.

To register for CPGEE 2025, follow the instructions listed below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of Cotton University - cottonuniversity.ac.in
Step 2: Click on "Apply Now."
Step 3: A new window with the application form information will open. After entering your information, click "Go to login."
Step 4: After logging into the portal, complete the payment process by entering the necessary information and selecting the Pay Now button.
Step 5: Go to the payment portal and select either Card/Net Banking or UPI.
Step 6: Your application form will be registered following a successful payment.
To participate in CPGEE 2025, interested candidates must submit a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1200. Another reason why the candidate must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for the exam is because the candidature of an individual will only be confirmed after the payment of the application fee. The CPGEE 2025 application fee can be paid online using any online payment method, including debit/credit cards and internet banking, using the payment portal on the official website.
CPGEE First semester admission fees are mentioned below:
Departments with Lab and Field Work (Anthropology, Botany, Geography, Geology, Zoology, MBBT*, EBWS, Archaeology): Rs 9,150.00. Additionally, students of MBBT will be charged an extra laboratory fee of Rs 7,000.00 during admission.
Departments with Lab but without Field Work (Chemistry, CS&IT, Physics, Statistics, Psychology, Education): Rs 8,150.00. Departments without Lab but with Field Work (Assamese, History, Sociology): Rs 8,150.00.
Departments without Lab and Field Work (Arabic, Bengali, Bodo, Economics, English, Hindi, Mathematics, Persian, Philosophy, Political Science, Sanskrit): Rs 7,150.00.
First semester admission fees for Self financing proogrammes are as follows:
MA in Mass Communication & Journalism: Rs 9,150.00 (admission fee) + Rs 15,500.00 (one-semester fee) = Rs 24,650.00.
MSc Library & Information Science: Rs 8,150.00 (admission fee) + (one-semester fee) = Rs 23,650.00.
LLM: Rs 7,150.00 (admission fee) + Rs 15,500.00 (one-semester fee) = Rs 22,650.00.
The CPGEE 2025 will consist of an MCQ Test-Booklet and OMR Answer-Sheet format. The CPGEE examination 2025 is expected to be conducted on July 2025. The examination will comprise of Objective Multiple Choice questions, and OMR answer sheets are utilized for responses. The questions are based on the UG syllabus of the respective subjects taught at Cotton University, except for subjects not offered as Honours/Core courses at the university. In such cases, the entrance examinations will be based on the standard syllabus of renowned Indian universities under the purview of UGC. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks, while an incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 1 mark (i.e., a penalty of minus 1 mark for incorrect responses).
Subject-specific rankings are established for admissions based on both CGPA and CPGEE 2025. It is important to note that inclusion in the merit lists does not guarantee selection for admission. Tentatively, the merit lists will be published within 7 to 10 days following the conclusion of CPGEE 2025. Subsequently, admissions for both Cotton Graduates and Open Category candidates will be announced promptly after the release of the merit lists.
Qualifying candidates will have to register for the CPGEE 2025 counselling process. They will have the necessary documents verified online before the deadline. Candidates also have to exercise options in order of their preference before the allotment process.
The Cotton University offers 614 seats for MA, 282 for MSc, 40 seats for MCA, 20 seats for MBBT, 20 seats for MCom, 26 seats for MCJ, 20 seats for MLISc, and 20 seats for for LLM courses.
Candidates must start preparing for the entrance exam by reading through the entire CPGEE 2025 syllabus and examination schedule. Candidates should practice the example paper to improve their preparation after going through all the necessary subjects and units from the curriculum.
CPGEE merit list 2025 is expected to be published tentatively after 7 to 10 days after the conclusion of CPGEE result 2025.

All the candidates appearing for CPGEE 2025 entrance must be aware that 4 marks shall be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark shall be deducted for every wrong answer in the exam.
