For every correct answer, + 5 marks will be awarded
For every wrong answer, -1 mark will be deducted and
For every unattempted answer, 0 marks will be awarded

The "Equipercentile method" will be used by NTA to prepare the CUET UG 2025 results. Using this technique, the raw score of every candidate in every topic will be normalised. The raw scores for each subject for which the CUET exam is administered in several shifts will be transformed into normalised scores using a standard scale.
CUET Score = {(5*total number of correct answers)-(1*total number of incorrect answers)}
Step 1 - Convert raw scores into CUET percentile scores
Using the raw marks that each group of students received for each shift, the percentile of each group will be determined in order to determine the normalised grades of the candidates who appeared throughout different sessions in a specific topic. The percentile scores will be computed using the following formula.
Step 2 - Arranging CUET percentiles in a descending order
Six students (Stu1, Stu2, Stu3, Stu4, Stu5, Stu6) are assumed. The test was taken in shift-1 by three of them (Stu2, Stu4, Stu6) and in shift-2 by the remaining three (Stu1, Stu3, Stu5), all in the same topic. First, the percentiles (PStu1, PStu2, PStu3, PStu4, PStu5, and PStu6) of these six students in a particular subject are calculated and arranged in decreasing order using the raw marks of these students. In accordance with their percentiles, their raw marks (RMStu1, RMStu2, RMStu3, RMStu4, RMStu5, and RMStu6) from the test in each shift are also included.
Step 3 - Calculate the marks of the students using linear interpolation
Since the students had previously completed the test during the other shift, interpolation is a mathematical method of approximating the missing marks for those absent during one shift. There won't be any raw marks for some students (Studies 2, 4, and 6) in shift-2 because they attended shift-1 instead of shift-2. Likewise, the students (Students 1, 3, and 5) who completed the exam during shift-2 would not receive any marks during shift-1. An interpolation technique is then used to determine these candidates' missing marks for each shift.
Step 4 - Calculate the normalised marks on common scale
Marks for both shifts, raw marks, and interpolated marks will be included in the percentile scores of the candidates arranged in descending order. Because the student is not permitted to take a written test in the same subject twice, interpolated marks are estimated during the other shift and raw marks are provided during the test period. Next, NTA will determine the average of each student's real raw grades from one shift and their interpolated values from the other shift.
NTA adheres to a particular marking schedule for the CUET UG 2025. Following the release of the final CUET answer key 2025, this pattern is used to determine exam scores. NTA will not be using the CUET UG normalisation method this year. The CUET score is determined as follows:
For every correct answer: +5 marks
For every incorrect response: -1 mark
For every attempted questions: 0 mark
In case of more than one answer is correct and any of the correct answers are chosen: +5 marks
If all the four options are correct, and the question is attempted: +5 marks
If all the options are incorrect or NTA has decided to drop the question, those who have attempted will be awarded: +5 marks
A good CUET score is crucial for candidates because it is the main criteria determining your eligibility for admission to the course of your choice and to colleges that are CUET participating universities. However, a score of 650 is often regarded as good. Excellent scores are those that are higher than 700, while very good scores are those that fall between 650 and 700. It is recommended that candidates review the CUET cutoff 2025 in order to gain further insight.
In order to get a spot at top colleges such as DU CUET entrance 2025, students should aim to score approximately 96 to 99 points or above. The cutoff requirements, however, might change based on the DU colleges. Applicants interested in specifics can review the DU cutoff 2025 details.
It is necessary for candidates to receive at least the CUET 2025 qualifying marks in order to be eligible for admission. Generally speaking, candidates who score between 350 and 400 on the CUET UG 2025 are deemed eligible. The CUET UG cutoff is determined by the participating universities and changes for each course based on a number of factors, including the total number of candidates, the exam's difficulty that year, and seat availability. For candidates to be eligible to apply for UG courses at these universities, they will need to meet the CUET cutoff of 2025.
We have listed the expected marks of different grades based on the CUET UG previous year cut off.
This table can help you understand the expected grades of the CUET 2025 result.

Hello,
You cannot get admission to engineering courses in Delhi University (DU) through CUET scores .
DU offers engineering courses under its Faculty of Technology, and admissions to these courses are based on JEE Main scores, not CUET.
Hope it helps !
Hello,
Delhi University (DU) offers various engineering courses under its Department of Technology.
Admission to these courses is primarily based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores. However, some courses may also consider CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores for admission.
The exact number of seats filled through CUET scores can vary each year and are not publicly disclosed.
Hope it helps !
Admissions for CUET aren't solely based on 2 Non-Med Percentage along with JEE Mains percentile. The eligibility criteria for CUET require students to have scored at least 50% marks in their Class 12th exam for general candidates and 45% for reserved categories.
Additionally, CUET has its own exam pattern, which includes multiple-choice questions divided into three sections:
- Section 1: Language proficiency(English/Hindi/regional languages)
- Section 2: Domain-specific subjects
- Section 3: General Aptitude
It's also important to note that while JEE Mains is a separate entrance exam, some universities may consider both CUET and JEE Mains scores for admission to certain programs. However, the specific admission criteria may vary depending on the university and course.
To confirm the admission criteria for your desired course, I recommend checking the official websites of the participating universities or contacting them directly.
Yes, if the CUET UG application form does not ask for the 10th marksheet upload and only requires a photograph and signature, your application should still be considered valid. Since you are currently appearing for the 12th exams, the system may not require additional documents at this stage. However, double-check the official guidelines or contact CUET support to confirm.
