Allahabad University 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants who have passed or appeared in any stream of the Intermediate examination under the U.P. Board/ C.B.S.E./ I.S.C. or any examination equivalent to those mentioned are eligible to apply for UGAT for B.A., B.F.A., B.P.A.
Applicants from the Science stream who have passed or appeared for the above-mentioned examination are eligible to apply for UGAT for B.Sc. (Maths and Biology group respectively).
Only female applicants who have passed or appeared at the above examination either from the Science stream or any other stream having Home Science as one of the subjects are eligible to apply for UGAT for B.Sc. (Home Science).
Applicants from the Commerce or Science stream who have passed or appeared at the above examination are eligible for admission to B.Com.
Applicants who had Music as one of the subjects at Intermediate level or have passed an equivalent examination in Music from a recognized Institution are eligible to apply for B.A. Music/ B.P.A.
For B.F.A, the candidate must not be more than 22 years old by June 30, 2018.
Those applicants who have already completed their Bachelor’s Degree will not be eligible to apply for UGAT- 2018.
Applicants are required to have a scanned copy of their coloured photograph (3.5 X 4.5 cm) and signature.
Both the files should be in JPEG/ JPG format for uploading during the online form submission.
The file size should not exceed 80 KB for both, the photograph and the signature.
The application filling of Allahabad University Admission 2018 is a four step process which is given below:
1. Online Registration
Visit the official website of the University and click on the ‘Admissions 2018’ tab.
Choose the entrance exam of your choice and click on the ‘Apply’ button.
Fill in the details requested by the page carefully.
After successful registration, applicant will receive his/her application number and password.
2. Fill personal and academic information on the application form
Personal details will be include name, DOB, contact number, parents’ names, etc.
Academic details will include details of qualifying examination, choice of examination centre, choice of examination mode, etc.
3. Upload scanned documents
It should be ensured that the size of the coloured photograph should be 3.5cm X 4.5cm.
Both the files, the coloured photograph and the signature, should be in JPG/JPEG format.
Size of both the files should not exceed 80 KB each.
4. Online Payment
Click on ‘Pay Online’.
Select the mode of payment.
Enter the required details.
Submit the Allahabad University Application form 2018.
Application Fee: Fee payment can be done through credit card/debit card/net banking. The UGAT- 2018 application fee for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories is Rs. 600, and for those belonging to SC, ST and PH categories is Rs. 300.
Allahabad University 2018 Exam Centres
The Offline admission test will be conducted in Allahabad, Delhi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur and Bareily.
Name and full address of the examination centre will be mentioned on the admit card of the applicant, and will not be changed under any circumstances.
No traveling charges will be covered by the University.
If the total number of candidates for a centre is less than 20, the University has the right to cancel that centre and allocate another centre to the remaining candidates.
The Online admission test will be conducted in all the major cities of India.
The admit card of Allahabad University 2018 will be released on online mode tentatively by the third week of May 2018.
Registered candidates must use their application sequence number and date of birth to log in from their individual accounts.

Candidates without admit cards will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
Allahabad University Exam Pattern 2018
The duration of the entrance test for Allahabad University Admission 2018 will be of 2 hours. Each candidate will be required to answer 150 questions, all of which will be Multiple Choice Questions. Every correct answer will carry 4 marks while every wrong answer will lead to deduction of 1 mark.

There will be 40 questions in each of the four subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Candidates of Maths stream must select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and those of Biology stream must select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There will not be any separate test for B.Sc. (Home Science). However, the applicants in B.Sc. (Maths) and B.Sc. (Bio) may also opt for B.Sc. (Home Science) and they will be selected on merit basis.

Admission to B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Art) Four-year Degree course shall be made based on the result of the Entrance Test. The candidate should have passed the Intermediate Examination of UP Board of Secondary Education, Allahabad or any other examination recognized by the University of Allahabad. Any candidate more than 22 years of age by June 30, 2018 will be deemed ineligible for admission.
The intake capacity in the first-year class is 61 students.
The admissions will be made on merit basis in the entrance test. Applicants shall be required to appear in both practical and written tests, which will total to 450 marks.

B.P.A. Admission Test (Intermediate Level)
Paper will consist of 150 multiple choice objective questions. Every correct answer will carry 4 marks while every wrong answer will deduct 1 mark. The questions will be based on Music (Vocal, Sitar, Tabla) of Intermediate level. The duration of the test will be 120 minutes.
The results of UGAT- 2018 will be declared by the second week of June 2018. Results of each course will be declared according to the schedule of the examinations. The results declared by the University will be final. There is no provision for scrutiny/re-evaluation of answer sheets.
Allahabad University Admission 2018 - Important points
Candidates seeking admission in B.A., B.Sc., B.Sc. (Home Science) and B.Com., B.F.A. and B.P.A. must appear for the Under Graduate Admission Test (UGAT) 2018.
UGAT-2018 is the combined Admission Test for admission to only regular degree courses offered by the Allahabad University and its Constituent Colleges, namely, Allahabad Degree College, Arya Kanya Degree College, CMP Degree College, Iswar Saran Degree College, Jagat Taran Girls Degree College, Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Mahavidyalaya, S. S. Khanna Girls Degree College and Shyama Prasad Mukherji Degree College. Only those applicants who qualify this Entrance Test will be eligible for admission to the University and its Constituent Colleges.
Foreign nationals who, having passed the qualifying examination, have applied through the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India are exempted from the Admission Test. Such a candidate may be admitted to a course of study of his/her choice on the recommendation of the Foreign Student Advisory Board of the University. The nominated candidate must apply before the completion of admission process or else he/she will not be considered for Allahabad University Admission 2018.
Reservation is provided to candidates belonging to weaker sections of the society. Special consideration may be granted only when the candidate has mentioned such a claim in the Registration Form and presents the required documents and certificates at the time of admission.
The order of merit for admission shall be determined based on the computed marks of the candidate.
Computed Marks = Candidate's Test Score + Weightage/Premium (if any)
If two or more candidates obtain the same computed total marks, their relative merit for admission and/or allotment of subjects(s) shall be determined on the basis of:
1. the marks obtained by the student in the Intermediate or any other equivalent examination,
2. in case the above-mentioned marks obtained by the two candidates are equal then the marks obtained by the two candidates in the High School or any other equivalent examination,
3. in case the above-mentioned marks obtained by the two candidates are also equal then by draw of lots.
Allahabad University Counselling 2018
Admissions of Allahabad University 2018 will commence by the last week of June, 2018 through the process of ‘Counselling’. More information regarding this will be published in local newspapers, and will also be available on the official website of the University. No inquiries regarding this will be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates will be required to present themselves in person for the Counselling and admission/allotment of course on the date, time and place which will be announced beforehand. The purpose of doing so is to provide information about the availability of seats in accordance to the merit.
Absence of a candidate on the mentioned date, time and place, or turning up without the required documents will forfeit the particular candidate’s claim of admission to his/her choice of course, and the candidate next in merit will be accommodated on such seat.
