See you have to wait for some time for the counseling round hopefully you will get into mechanical engineering but you have to wait till last round ....

thank you for approaching us . yes you can get a seat in the electronics and communication engineering branch . may not be in the top most colleges but you can get in the top 5-10 colleges .

See as we know that PESSAT is an entrance test conducted for admission to various Undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by PES University. So the rank which you have mentioned in the question you cannot get seat in PES University until and unless you belongs to any reservation category such as SC, ST, OBC and so on. Even after belonging to such reservation category you may get seat in last round of counselling. The reason being is that it's closing rank varies around 7000 for lower branches. Also keep note of that the cut-offs are bound to change evry year depending upon various factors.
