National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a national-level entrance examination conducted annually for admission to five-year integrated MSc programmes offered at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai- Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) Mumbai.
NEST 2020 syllabus will be released in the first week of January 2020. You can check the NEST 2019 syllabus for reference and to have an idea about the structure of the question paper.

let me suggest the basic method for preparing for all these exams. Go through the syllabi, pattern and prevvious exam question papers of these exams. Understand carefully. Plan and divide the syllabus carefully. Practice and plan time for each section so it will make the exam taking easier.

After clearing NEST examination, you can get admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Dept. of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. After completing your integrated msc , you can go for phd in Abroad as nearly 70-80 percentage of graduates from these colleges get their PhDs from top institution in abroad. Also , every student admitted to NISER having CGPA above 7.5 have a direct chance for attending an interview in BARC for the post of C grade scientist with a salary of about Rs. 80,000 per month, so you can get into BARC as well.

The predicted cutoff rank for OBC is 280, this year. Lat year it was around 400 rank. But competition has increased a lot this year. You can try for 2nd counselling. Do not lose hope. If you are so passionate about it, you can also go for a break year.
