how many students appering for nest exam

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 10th Dec, 2019

Hi Rushikesh

We cannot tell exactly how many many students would be appearing for NEST 2020. But around 80 thousand students appeared in 2019 and about 67 thousand in 2017.

So going by the previous trends, we can assume that around 80 to 85 thousand students would be appearing for the exam in 2020.

There are 202 seats in NISER Bhubaneshwar and 47 seats in UMDAE CBS and a score of around 110-120 would help you grab a place. All the best.

in NISER after completiting their the study course can we called as a scientist and we can be placed as a scientist in ISRO, NASA,IIST

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 19th Dec, 2019
Hello,

You can't be called a scentieat after compeltion of any course from NISER, you can be called as researcher and that too if you do Ph.D from there and you can possibly get a jobs in BARC afterwards but not in ISRO,NASA etc.Getting jobs in ISRO,NASA etc require you to crack exams which they conduct or you can apply when they will offer vacancy. What job you may get depends on factors like what course you have studied in your undergraduate or master's.

I hope this helps.
