Joint Admission Test for M.Sc Programmes
Hello
Joint Admission Test (JAM) is conducted for admissions into MSc and related postgraduate science programmes.
For preparation of the JAM exam, right choice of books is necessary. You can start your preparation by referring to your graduation books.
All the Best!
Hi,
IIT JAM is an entrance examination conducted for providing admission to the students in around a number of programmes including M.Sc, Joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc PhD dual programme, integrated PhD, M.Sc-M.Tech and M.Sc-M.S (Research) at IITs, IISc, IISER and NIT.
The eligibility criteria is different for each vourse however the general and the OBC students have to score 55% marks while the other reserved categories have to score 50% in their graduation to be eligible for the exam.
you can check the pattern, details and the syllabus alongwith the detailed information in the link below.

Good Luck!
IIT JAM is a national level examination organized to offer admission into M.Sc. (four semesters), M.Sc. Ph.D., and M.Sc. Ph.D. dual degree etc. programmes at IITs.
Besides having a minimum bachelor's degree, for specific branches, specific subjects are required.
Some of the branches like M.Sc. Biotechnology are open for any branch that the candidate has pursued before while other branches require pre-requisite knowledge of subjects.
M.Sc. Astronomy also takes up candidates that have mechanical degree.
Hope this helps.
Dear aspirant, as you have not mentioned your category so the general seats for IIT Bombay and IIT Roorkee are 14 and 18 seats for general category, For detailed information about the seat distribution for other category as well you may follow the link below:
