if i go for bsc botany/ zoology, will i be eligible for jam later? syllabus will be of biotech one?

pdwords Student Expert 21st Oct, 2021

Hello,

When it comes to eligibility criteria of MSc Biotechnology for appearing in IIT JAM, then there is no such restriction of having any specific subject combinations at graduation level, however candidates are required to have studied biology as a subject at 10+2 level which I believe you should definitely have, other this there is requirement of 55% aggregate at graduation level for UR/OBC, in case of reserved categories there is relaxation of 5%, visit our page at https://university.careers360.com/articles/jam-eligibility-criteria to know more details regarding this, you can access the syllabus for biotechnology at https://jam.iisc.ac.in/p/biotechnology-bt-1, you can also go through this year and previous years sample papers at https://jam.iisc.ac.in/ in order to get acquainted with the exam pattern, important topics, marking scheme, through regular practice you can analyze your preparation level, and thereby improve your speed, calculation, and time management skills.

if i do spelling error in my college name.. is my IIT JAM form rejected or not??

Aditya 9th Oct, 2021

Hi aspirant,

You need not to worry much about 8 if there is only a spelling mistake in your name during the registration or any further procedures. There exists a very simple solution for it you need to carry a self attested affidavit claiming that both the persons are same which should be supported by relevant and valid documents, proofs. Also try to do this procedure during the the document verification or counselling procedure before the allotment of colleges through JEE advance.

Hope it helps!!
